I'm trying to make a new subclass for my ranger called the moonlit warden and part of it is a radiant damage bonus to attacks which differ depending on the position of the moon. For example if the moon is full it does 2d6 extra damage, a half moon does 1d8 and a new moon 1d4, but how do I implement this if it all possible. Not that the damage is automatically added, I can do that manually, only how to add a table with the type of moon plus damage die.
1d4, 2d4, and 3d4 have similar averages and IMO feel a bit more consistent if you want to consider that.
Also, I hope there are other benefits that don't make the full moon just straight-up better, cause that will just lead to the ranger wanting to wait in town until the full moon to go on every adventure.

A Custom action for each one.
