I'm, trying to make a homebrew race with the standard modern approach of choosing where your ability score increases go with a +2 and +1, I've made an asi feature with modifiers "choose a stat to gain +2 (and the same for +1 of course) and added the correct number in the fixed value segment, and while teh choice appears in the builder, it has no affect on the character's actual stats, if I want to present this to my players I can just use the manual override features to add the stats but thats clunky and awkward and if the website is supposed to support this more smoothly I'd like to achieve that.
That worked! Thank you, I'd seen that advice before when looking up similar threads on the issue so I tried it earlier in the diagnosis and it didn't work, there must've been some other problem I had missed and then fixed but it still needed a fresh character sheet to actually show I'd fixed the root cause.
I have the exact opposite problem. I accidentally the ASI feature from my homebrew race after running some tests on it and when I went to input it back in, even with the new 2024 rules for the backgrounds giving ASIs, the racial ASI is still present in the builder. How do I fix this? I did the same process as the guy.
I even copied the 2024 Dragonborn info to make sure I copied it exactly to make sure I got it right and it still shows up even if I do a 2024 background and choose the ASIs from the background.

Have you only looked at it in the builder? Did you check the actual character sheet itself?
You listed the Modifier Subtype, and the fixed value. What base Modifier did you select?

It does not apply to the sheet itself either and the modifier subtype is "bonus"
Are you absolutely sure that you filled in the Fixed Value fields for those Modifiers?

"Modifier type: Bonus, Modifier subtype: Choose an ability score to increase by 2, Fixed value: 2" (and repeat for 1)
Try re-saving the whole race and then test it on a brand new character sheet.
