Issue 1). I have a homebrew Longbow, recently and accidentally published thanks to my kid, (Titan's Longbow) that has the wrong damage die, that no matter how many times I change the damage type, or replace the damage type, its stays 1d8 + Dex. It should be 1d12 + STR, as it has a STR preq to use it. So that's the first thing.
Issue 2). Again with that same bow, I cannot add it to a specific player's inventory, yet I can add it do any OTHER characters inventory I want. The current player who has it happens to be a Warforged-Juggernaut/Oathbreaker Paladin. I can add the bow to either of the Rangers (elf and dwarf), the Warlock or the druid ... But not the actual character that owns the thing.
Any suggestions?
Update: I realized that the player was still using the UA version of the Warforged. Switched over to the official version, and still nothing. And for those who may suggest that its a Longbow and that's why, he has and is using a Longbow of Warning, and there is no issue.
1. You can't change the damage die for weapons at this time. That is a property of the underlying weapon type (in this case longbow). May I suggest instead adding a modifier to grant an additional 1d4 damage?
2. The character sounds like it has homebrew toggled off in preferences.
Like StormKnight said, we cannot adjust the damage die as of yet, so adding a d4 to the normal d8 is the only way. I did figure out recently that if you add the Finesse property to a longbow the wielder can use Strength to fire it. To add those fixes you would have to “create new version” of the magic item and you can edit it. If you republish it afterwords the new version will replace the old version.
Also, like StormKnight said, it sounds like that character has Hmebrew content toggled off. Click “edit character” go to the character’s “home” page (the very first page before “race” in the character builder) and toggle it back on and it should work.
Son of a --- … Thank you . I love you. So do my players. Homebrew was not active, which is something I normally always have on because of my penchant for giving my players Homebrew toys. I guess that's why I didn't think of it.

Hi there BadKharma,
