l'm makeing a ranger subclass, and want advice on what to name this ability (who's current name is "Rogueish Expertise"):
Your time in the shadows has made you a expert in your craft. You may choose one new Proficiency from the list below, and you can choose two of your skill or tool proficiencies to become a expert of, making your proficiency bonus doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of the chosen proficiencies.
You can choose one of the following: Acrobatics Animal handling, Deception, Intimidation, Nature, Performance, Persuasion, Slight of hand, Survival, Thieves tools, Disguise kit, Herbalism kit.
Optionally,During your time in the shadows, you might have encountered a certain secretive group, and learned their secret language. You can choose to learn either Thieves Can't, Druidic, or neither.
I think you should work on the wording because it is a bit confusing. Usually, when you gain more than one feature under the same title, you separate them into different paragraphs, starting each after the first with "additionally". Just look around for these occurrences and you'll understand.
As for names, the above suggestion is nice if it fits. Also "Dark Expertise", "Shadow Training" or anything with shadow really. It makes it picking the name simple but also not very creative. A simple "Expertise" or "Extra Proficiencies" also work.
