I have a player in my campaign who took the Hermit background. After some mulling on it, we worked out that his Hermit "discovery" was that he developed an expanded awareness of nature. For managing it in-game, I gave him a choice of a second land for his Circle of the Land Druid.
Now we're migrating over to DNDBeyond, I don't know how to enable an extra feature for him that basically opens access to a few spells he wouldn't otherwise have that don't also give him extra spell slots.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to code this?
If all you want to do is add a few additional spells that are “always prepared,” then all you have to do is make a homebrewed subclass using the same subclass your player is using as the template and add those spells under the “Additional Specific Spells” field under Basic Information. Then re-save the entire subclass. After that, just make sure your player is using your homebrewed version and not the original version of that subclass.
