I might become an Istari here this summer. Some friends and I are thinking about playing Adventures in Middle Earth and I might be the DM. I'm not sure yet though because I'm not very familiar with the system.
Adventures in Middle Earth is a third party product that lets you play 5e Dnd in Middle Earth. It has completely different classes and it uses cultures instead of races. There are actually a bunch of new supplemental rules to allow for a play style closer to what happens in the books. So far it looks really cool, but I was wondering if any of y'all have used it and what advice you would have for someone trying to get into it.
It’s actually called the LotR Roleplaying game now since it’s release the other year. And yeah, I’ve played it and know a fair bit about it, tho I haven’t touched it in years.
Honestly, my biggest tip? Make it feel like Middle Earth. Steal Tolkien’s descriptions of forests, mountains, caves, etc from the books and use them as descriptions of adventures for the players. Make sure NPCs really act like their culture. Again, steal lines from the book. Copy how each culture talks, and so on.

They exist in Beren and Luthien as well. Luthien becomes one temporarily (sort of).
Make sure you have an encyclopedia of Olde English on hand so you can understand about 60% of it.
