Maybe I’ll see some of you when I get where I’m going, maybe I won’t. Weird stuff happens when I travel, so I might not remember you. I just want to take what little time I have left to thank you for making me welcome. If any of you see Allison, let her know I said it was a pleasure knowing her.” He takes a long drink of his scotch, a tear trickling down his eye. “This is my last drink in this place. I am unspeakably glad that I drink among friends.” And with that, he and Q’ilbrith disappear into green embers, which drift away and die with the nonexistent wind. At his now vacant seat lies Krathian’s cane, inscribed with the words “For whoever wishes to find me”
