Adder is in the field. He is sitting in front of a small campfire, watching the sunny sky above. He was roasting a rabbit over the fire while carving something in a rock.
Jackson is talking with Xio
Omega is sleeping.
Sharlene steps outside and gets back to training.
Adder looks up to see who was walking around. His eyes widen as he chuckles "i know you"
She looks over as she stretches. "Hm? Oh, the pickpocket. What do you want?"
"nothing" he hums, chuckling
She raises an eyebrow and went back to stretching.
Adder watches her, chuckling "I still have your coins if you want them back"
"Nah."
"Kay then" he said, quietly mimicking Sharlene's voice
She glared at him before going over to a tree and taking it down with one kick.
Adder watched before chuckling
She ignored him and moved on to the next tree.
*Adder: *Chuckles* Im in danger*
Adder turns fully around to watch this display of annoyance
*Yep, one punch from her would send him flying past the afterlife. Not really, that's a bit of exaggeration. Just a bit.*
"Any reason you're watching me?"
"your destroying wildlife"
"It'll be fine, the trees around here grow abnormally fast. Besides, I'm making sure the ones I take down don't have any nests or anything in them."
'i didnt see you check" he said
"I only need to look at it to know."
"thats sounds like a load and a half" he said
"Listen closely, I can tell by the claw marks on the bark. If there's a lot, chances are some sort of animal lives on or near it, if there's only a few, there probably isn't very many animals in the area around it."
"But what about birds? birds don't make claw marks"
"You're telling me bird talons don't leave some kind of mark on wood? And if you say 'But what about small birds?' they got small talons, too."
"small birds dont have talons" he said
She glared at him before climbing into a tree, disappearing into the leaves. A bird screech could be heard before she jumps down, holding a small, brown bird. It seemed okay, just a little startled. Sharlene walked over and showed Adder the small feet, which had small claw-like talons. "If they didn't have any, they wouldn't be able to grip worms and insects and small mammals to eat, as well as not being able to grip onto branches to stop themselves from falling."
"So, if I tell you as much as I can learn about the journal by spying on Thirteen, will that help you summon it?" Tevelin asks Ettor.
"Look, the magic I do is more in the illusion slash death type, so unless you got a dead person who's seen the journal before, I'm not much use."
*OOOH bad luck, Thirteen took an oath to never kill. He's a vegetarian and does anti-death magic as a result. Except...*
"Yes! Yes there is!" Tevelin says, standing up in excitement. "Thirteen's familiar is a psionic zombie cat, and he has three skeletons that work for him! We could use either!"
"Since they work for him, would they really be willing to tell us about the journal. And of they are, chances are Thirteen would have also been willing to talk."
"Well, the cat sounds like our best shot, since cats are so independent. I think she's out on the front lawn, we can go question her!"
"Fine, lead the way, bird."
*Oh wait, Poppy is out on the lawn too. Ettor may be little help after all.*
Tevelin walks onto the lawn, toward the undead cat who is sunning herself in Entropy's warm sunbeams.
Ettor walks up to the little cat. "Hello, cat, do you mind if we speak for a bit?"
The cat twists her head, her orange glowing eyespots resting on Ettor's face. <What's up? Make it fast, I was napping.>
"I have an acquaintance that would like to hear about a certain person's journal."
<Why?> Caramel (the undead cat) looks suspiciously at Ettor and Tevelin. <You aren't working for Feakor, are you?>
"No, I'm afraid I haven't heard that name before."
Caramel studies Ettor's face carefully. <You lie a good deal, but I can tell you aren't lying about this. What do you want to know?"
"Well, that certain person's journal happens to be Thirteen, we'd appreciate anything you could tell us about it."
<It's a fairly large hardback book. It's got a black cover with a triangular pattern of red, gold, and green stitched on the front. Most of the first part of the journal serves as Thirteen's spellbook. The rest is a record of Thirteen's travels across the Inner Planes and the Material Plane. Why do you want to know?>
Theren puts a finger on the spine of the books and lowers it. "Taceli, you ok?"
"...I'm fine, I'm just not used to talking... like this."
"I get it. It took me awhile to open up as well."
"No, it's just that I've never been around people I can talk to like this."
Theren fidgets with a necklace before saying, "Well same here."
Taceli sat in awkwardness for a bit before slowly going back to her book.
Theren just sits there flipping through his pocketbook for a moment before breaking the silence. "Do you still have a family?"
"N-no, I've always been by myself in my travels."
"O-oh..." Theren sits there for a moment slightly feeling awkward about asking such a personal question.
She shuffles a bit. "I-it's alright."
"You sure?" Theren asks as he brushes a piece of his hair out of his face.
"Yeah, it's good to be able to speak about things instead of keeping them inside."
"Its better not to keep it all bottled up. You want anything to drink?" Theren asks.
"No, thanks for asking.*
"Ok." Theren leaves for a moment before coming back with a mug of coffee.
She was almost done with her book.
"I take it your enjoying the book?"
"Yeah, the story's interesting."
"Whats the story about?"
"A dragon basically trying to earn the trust of a small village."
Theren flinches at the word dragon.
She looked a little worried. "Are you okay?"
"I don't really like dragons...."
"Oh...." She looked a little more awkward than before.
"You ok? Did I say something wrong or..?"
"No, you're fine. That's a reasonable opinion, many dragons have a bad rep."
"Yea. I finally figured out what dragon destroyed my village. I also found out where the orcs went after." Theren says with a slight angry tone. His green eyes are slightly teary as he thinks about that day.
"Oh, umm, I'm sorry... again."
Theren shakes his head. "It's fine. Wasn't your fault. Anyways, did you have any childhood friends or enemies?" Theren asks hastily changing the subject.

After finishing his meal, damien pulls out a book, opening it and writing something down.
Jackson watches but can't see the words
After a few seconds of writing, damien looks at them again, then writes a quick note into the book
He narrows his eyes before checking his pocket watch. He counts for three seconds before snapping it shut and standing up, walking over to Damien "Who are youP

"Your smell is different from that of a living thing, you are not undead yourself but you have the smell of rotting flesh." he said, Eyes glinting from under the shadow of his hood

"Indeed, i am the resident necromancer."
"Hm" he said, gripping the hilt of his sword. He leans forward, sniffing the air around damien "You do not smell like an evil thing, but ill have to keep a close eye on you"
