Don't apologize. It'll show them that they can boss you around.
But i am sorry..... plus they're scary
You don't have to be afraid of them. And even if you are, always keep your fear hidden. Displaying it shows weakness.

Good. You shouldn't feel bad about taking something from those who serve the gods.

"Sogel is my home world. A place of nothing but magical chaos."
"Sounds... Interesting. I'm not sure how it would effect the three of us, particularly our magic, considering we are all divine magic wielders for the most part.
"Our world is exceptionally dangerous in its own way as well. The continent the three of us hail from is Hyperia, the land of Titans. Creatures that you most likely have never heard of stalk the land; things like Bladewalkers, Sound Stalkers, Mindless Maws, even fiendish drakes. There's massive elemental scorpions and snakes lurking in the desert, as well as crystal formations that are rumored to attack any who come too close.
"It is a mostly untamed world, where people of all races band together for survival, although there are always exceptions, most notably goblinkin, orcs, and giants."
"Your magic would likely be unaffected. Most gods have some domain.and power in Sogel. Your world sounds like an interesting one. Id definitely enjoy seeing what some of those creatures are. Sogel also has the races together, but not for the same reason"
"That is good to know. Sogel definitely sounds like an interesting place, and you would most certainly be welcomed in my home if you ever came to Hyperia."
*FYI, I did draw the Bladewalker at one point, and I posted it in the art thread on Discord*
"Thank you. Id offer the same, but Ive never owned a home. I lived on a street all my life pre-tavern"
"Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. If you don't mind my asking, how'd you end up on the streets?"
"The city I was in, Eligas, was in a... Poor state. The ruler was a horrible tyrant, who kept all the non nobles poor, and did anything to stay in power. So many executions... To anyone who could ever become a threat"
This grabs the attention of Hanzo. He stands up and walks over to Enethia to bow, "I am Hanzo Hasashi of the Shirai Ryu. I can behead this tyrant of yours."
"His head is already decayed. He was killed a while ago, now."
"I see." Hanzo stands up. His glossy pale eyes look tired, "A tyrant has killed my clan...and I will not rest until vengeance is mine."
Soldaer turns to Hanzo. "Look, I know we got off on the wrong foot, but I've had experience in dealing with tyrants before, both in overthrowing them through subterfuge and through outright killing them myself." You see fires burning in his eyes, but you can tell the anger isn't directed towards you. "I would be more than willing to help you defeat this tyrant, but I would like to learn more about what is happening in your world. Who knows, I may even be able to find a friend or two to help."
Hanzo remains silent. He still isn't sure what to make of a man who wishes to serve justice to children.
"If you aren't sure of my character, maybe you'll have heard of the two deities I follow, one of which I am a chosen of: Eilistraee and Mielikki. Both are good-aligned deities and would most certainly not support someone who didn't follow their tenets. Yes, I can be chaotic, and most certainly don't always do the right things, but I always have the right intentions at heart. Can anyone who isn't a celestial truly say that they have always done the right thing?"

Whats wrong with the gods? If you're lucky they allow safe voyage on sea trips
Why shouldn't they always allow it? Why do you have to appeal to them simply to live?

Thats just how it is i guess. My patron told me about different ocean gods when i was young. How to avoid their wrath
Me and my people fight against a threat that would destroy the multiverse. And what do the gods do? They kill the protectors of their own worlds.

"C'mon Avery. I'm not gonna hurt you. Let's go inside. I'll let you choose what you want to drink even. Anything they have, you can choose."
Avery quietly walks over to them,
"That's it." Soldaer says. When Avery reaches him, he gently puts one arm over his shoulders. "Now, let's head inside, okay? Any idea what you want to drink? I'm more a fan of Feywine myself, but the whole bar is open to you."
"I-i don't usually h-have the ability to d-drink anything expensive." Avery is still visibly nervous compared to the rather intimidating group
"Have you had Feywine before?"
Avery shakes their head, "N-no, i haven't"
"Well, you're in for a treat. It's definitely got a bit of a kick, but a very smooth flavor from the honey used to make it."
"Sounds nice," Avery gives a small smile, warming up to him slowly
"It is. Let's see if this tavern has any of the good vintages from my world. Since this kinda seems like a multidimensional hub of sorts, I certainly hope they do" Soldaer says with a smile and a wink. "Just a bit of a warning; Feywine does seem to have... unpredictable consequences to non-elves sometimes. As long as you don't have too much though, you should be fine. If not, well, we've got our resident paladin and Healer who can help."
"I don't think i'm an elf, so yep i'll be careful" Avery says, following Soldaer
Soldaer leads Avery up to the bar. "Barkeep," Soldaer says, "you wouldn't happen to have an Hyperian Feywine, say, 1709 vintage, would you?"
Avery sits at the bar, waiting for the group to sit aswell. He looks at the origina; owner of the staff, "I-i'm sorry i stole from you."

Avery hears a now-familiar voice in his head; that of Egrien's Couatl. You think I'm not aware of the...dealings you are having with that fiend? I, or rather my master, knows exactly what he has been saying to you. I don't know about the world this fiend comes from, but in my world, the Gods waged an ages-longs war against both the Demons and Devils before banishing both to the pale abyss, where all surviving demons and devils went, and continue to exist, for all eternity. Not every god in the multiverse is going to fight, but there are indeed some who do.
