For those saying Heal and the various cleanse sickness/resurrection spells: you are now the single most valuable living thing on the planet. Your life will not belong to you anymore. You will be captured and your ability to Jesus away sickness, injury and even death at the merest touch will be utilized by the capital-P Powerful to extend their own lives and serve their agendas. You will not be enriching humanity. Humanity is not noble enough to allow you to use those gifts as you see fit. You will be a tool of those powerful enough to imprison you and your life will be misery.
That’s an awful lot of cynicism for a thread that is supposed to be fun (fun is literally in the title)…. And it also presumes an awful lot about how someone uses the spells that is not in evidence. If everyone has this option, as OP’s choosing Counterspell indicates, then there would not be a reason to kidnap anyone. If you alone have this option, as your post assumes, then it really wouldn’t be that hard to just keep your acts relatively low key, and use the general perception that magic is not real to shield you from harm. Or, you know, literally have Mass Suggestion, any teleport spell, or some other defence mechanism as your third option.
Now, perhaps if you were less concerned with being the fun police or proselytising about your personal worldview in a location it really wasn’t warranted, you might have seen that the solution to your issue is to either use common sense or is built into the question itself.
Heh. The cynicism IS fun, though. The exercise is more engaging and meaningful if one tries to imagine how it would work out in reality, and reality dictates that Miracle Cure-Alls are worth their weight in whatever precious material you care to name. Bypassing the need for medical science to have one guy cure everything wrong with you with one single touch is going to have Repercussions, and this species is not mature enough to handle it.
Even my own picks would probably get me in trouble. The smart play is subtle mind-affecting or otherwise invisible magic no one else knows is happening that you use to get edges you'd never otherwise get. But hey. That's just not my style.
If I were building a house I would choose transmute stone, fabricate, and creation

Hollow unbreakable arrows are the most OP common magic item, and my current method of coming up with insane combat shenanigans.
if you make a steel pipe with one end closed and a nozzle on the other, you can enlarge it, fill with any liquid, and then drop concentration, creating a high pressure squirt gun. (or a pipe bomb, depending if it holds)
Revivify, Greater Restoration, and Heal. Easy get rich quick strat, be a doctor and if things start going south, you always have revivify prepared

an alternate choice would be tenders transformation, but for regular everyday life I don’t see it being very useful.
im sure these would be pretty easy to explain, but my specific command for my tiny servant would be to “go and collect loose change”, while casting the spell in the middle of a city, possibly with multiple tiny servants. The range the servants can wander is only limited by the duration of the spell, and the 120ft range listed on the spell only applies to direct telepathic commands.
Collecting all the loose pocket change people drop on the ground in a somewhat crowded city every day for a few weeks would probably make a fair sum of money (just be sure to wash it all first). If someone asks where I got it all i’ll be honest And say I picked up all the pocket change I saw on the ground for a few weeks.
tiny servants in general are useful for any number of tasks. And skill empowerment is probably the best spell for normal life provided you chain cast it over an entire work day.
While it would be interesting to take the raise dead type spells 1 - some folk should stay dead, 2 - if found out, you would get locked up and turned into a slave, 3 - it would cost a jackload of diamonds every time you did it.
I'm against the charm spells because that is taking away somebody's real life agency, not cool.
Heal It doesn't cover poison but it does help everything else. As a plus it can be used at 60 feet so higher chance to escape notice. I work with special needs kids so curing them of their conditions would eventually lose me my job but it would be worth it.
Alter Self Would be an amazing cosplay opportunity!
Spare the Dying Has good real world application and would be awesome in an emergency room but it requires touch so kind of a bummer.
Sleep Would be my choice if I felt the need for self defense.
Unseen Servant Would be quite useful but if people started seeing things move about by themselves they would get wierded out.

Invisibility misty step lesser restoration.

Heal is not worth it though, since everyone has 4 hp. So if you are picking up healing, stop at cure wounds or mass cure wounds.

“This spell also ends blindness, deafness, and any diseases affecting the target.”
The health is not the reason to take Heal.
Also, responding to a thread to critique others, while not having posted your own entry? Not cool.
Mage hand, tiny servant, skill empowerment

I am going to, but I am currently braindead. You make a good point, but could have done without an insult
Tashas hideous laughter, suggestion, and mage hand. Just to be cruel

I don’t know enough about all the spells to give an answer of my own, but this is a really cool thread. Don’t tear each other apart though.
Mass Suggestion Invisibility Heal. Or maybe switch Heal out for Alter Self.
Heal cures all diseases. Cancer. AIDS. Covid. Parkinson’s. Name it.
The real issue is how many spell slots you have allowing you to only help a handful of people a day.

Create Food and Water Super win for many people, mostly for the water.
Plant Growth Incredible farming possibilities.
Transport via Plants A bit of upfront work but virtually limitless travel range.
Now to narrow it down to only three....
Heal for sure, Create Food and Water, and Plant Growth.

Lesser restoration also cures all diseases as well as blinded, deafened, paralyzed, and poisoned. And most ODs (including hangovers) would constitute being poisoned.
