*Well, I really want to write Manga. I'm trying to read all sorts of books more, and I'm hoping to get the legendary tome Manga in Theory and Practice for Christmas or my birthday, which is next month.*
*Oh your birthday is in January? Interesting, anyway, I’m trying to write a book myself, though I’ve taken a break from it to reflect upon what I’m writing and learn more about it as a whole. I should show you what I’ve written some time, I’ve heard you’ve been trying to write mangas and such, tell me more of you would.*
*I would love to see what you've written.*
*I keep coming up with spur-of-the-moment ideas for series, but what I need to do is write some one-shots first. And of course, follow the KISS principle (Keep It Simple, Stupid). I want to go for some sort of whimsical dark fantasy slice-of-life with maybe some fights here or there. Like Frieren, but with more horror.*
*I’M BACK! DOES ANYONE WANT TO ROLEPLAY?! PLEASE!*
*YES*
*I have mother misery, and also now I have Vanilla, the god of sweets and winter treats! (Trademark)(
*Either one works, or both really, I’ve got people that might work with anyone depending on who you want to play.*
*alright!*
Mother misery is comforting a dying man in an alley, suffering from the weeping pox.
Vanilla (description somewhere last page) is in the tavern, next to the fire, sipping hot cocoa that has way too many toppings and never seems to run out.
Darius is walking by when sees the scene, coming over to the man, ignoring Mother Misery entirely as he puts his hands on the pox, they seem to turn a grey, the pox seeming to petrify.
Merabelle, a giant Goliath woman with fangs that aren’t who own sits next to them, smiling softly at them “Well howdy, ain’t seen you ‘round here before sweetheart!”
Mother Misery looks up to him, and he can almost sense she’s smiling beneath the mask. “Thank you for the help…”
he takes a sip of his hot cocoa, waving. “Howdy.” He replies, chuckling. “Hot cocoa?”
He breaks the stone pox off of them, making sure to be careful, his own skin turning stony to replace it, his cracks growing “A king helps all those in need.”
She smiles wide, her accent heavily southern “Well howdy ’bout that! I ain’t gonna say no, that’s fer sure.”
She stares at his own skin becoming petrified instead of the dying man’s. “are you the only one allowed to do stuff like that for people? Why can’t I?”
he somehow produces a big cup of hot cocoa, at the perfect temperature, and with all of her favorite toppings. He hands it to her, and then takes a sip of his own.
“Because I care about you as well as anyone else. You remind me of someone I deeply loved, I won’t let you get hurt.” He says, his arms progressing slowly, like Midus’s touch.
She takes the cup, giving them a friendly kiss on the cheek “Thank ya fer this one pardner!” She begins downing it in big gulps, holding the cup in both hands with her massive muscular hands.
“I’ve told you this before, and I’ll tell you again… the reason I dedicate myself to what I do is because I care for others, and also because I cannot be hurt in the same way you can. No matter what you say, I can sustain more injury, more trauma, than anyone short of, say, an ancient dragon. I cannot die by conventional means, is what I’m trying to say.” She reaches out to touch his arm, ready to transfer the damage and the petrification if need be.
he giggles, taking another sip of his hot cocoa. “I’m Vanilla.”
He pulls his arm away at their touch, his skin truly stony, only able to move his fingers and hands through strength alone, enough to break the stone “Fine, that doesn’t matter to me either way.” He finishes up the pox before standing back up “I do it because I care, in that we are the same I suppose.”
Merabelle finishes her own cocoa quickly, leaning back with a sigh “Merabelle, nice ta meet ya.”
*out of curiosity, what’s Darius’ strength score? Because mother misery’s is twenty*
”my goodness, please just let me help you. Does this… stone curse thing completely petrify you?”
“want some candy canes? I have some candy canes… oh, or a cookie?”
He chuckles as they hug them tightly “Just practicin’, don’t worry ‘bout me. Are ya okay?”
He nods as he continues punching, slight explosions of eldritch power as well as infernal with each blow “Course, I’m listenin’.”
They stand up, putting the paper and pencil away “Course, who’re we gonna kill?”
She returns the head bow to them, ordering them both something to drink “Edwin? Like that name, somethin’ special ‘bout it, maybe it’s you.” She chuckles, half joking.
"Feeling icky. There up twice so far today." She huffs, folding her arms.
"I need you to look after office for a bit. I need to leave for a bit to go back to hell." He said "My office contains some things I'd rather not slip into the hands of folk who might slip in."
"Gentleman and his wife. They stole a good amount of money from their cohorts and decided to leave town and set up shop here instead to scamore folk."
He laughs "Thank you but I am afraid it's nothing special unlike you from what I can see."
The cocoa created is pitch black, with fermented smells mixing with the chocolate. It's thick and sludge like, but overall it doesn't seem all that bad despite all those descriptors. The Neighbor fluffs the pillow and places it behind Vanilla. When the fiend takes the hot chocolate, it seems very pleased. "Reminds me of the drinks I used to make for my kids." It sighs wistfully. "I miss having kids. I hope they're all doing well."
Vanilla yawns. “Where’d they go?” He asks, his eyes closed.
"They asked that I don't follow them. They don't approve of my morals." It takes a sip of the pulped flesh and chocolate. "This is very good. Thank you for sharing your talents with me."
He chuckles. “Thanks for letting me. You’re… the neighbor, right?”
"I am the Magus. A pleasure as well." It shuffles the shells in front of it and stares at them with its eyeless mask. "I read that you are... married. I'm so happy for you. But I also read that you are well-versed in combat magic. That makes me... sad." It offers some shells. "Would you like to read me?"
He nods and walks over, pulling out a small bag of bones. He takes them and throws them and the shells together. His eyes become milky white, glowing a bit.
The shells are powered with incredible divination magic, stronger than even Jack's bones.
He can mentally ask two questions about this being, but he automatically learns that it is a ludicrously overpowered mage, and that it is a fiend of some kind.
He chuckles as they hug them tightly “Just practicin’, don’t worry ‘bout me. Are ya okay?”

He sighs “The pregnancy’s finally startin’ ta get ta ya? I’ll take care o’ ya if you need me to.”
He raises an eyebrow “Ya want me ta take care o’ it fer ya? Why?” He asks, confused, his now healed golden irises looking to them, slowly punching less as his hands lower.
He nods “I’ll go get my sniper rifle, but, they are thieves who stole from their friends? I can’t allow that, honor among thieves an’ all that.”
“Ah, ya flatter me more than I can tell ya.” Once the drinks arrive they slide them over “Do ya want ta tell me more ‘bout yerself?”

He chuckles. “Thanks for letting me. You’re… the neighbor, right?”
"Yup. Thanks for noticing. Most people won't refer to me once they know who I am. According to mythology, it's bad luck. I hope it isn't true."
He chuckles as they hug them tightly “Just practicin’, don’t worry ‘bout me. Are ya okay?”

"I'm fine, just tired is all." She says, rolling her eyes and hugs him.
"You are the most powerful creature I know and I know you will do your best." He explained.
"Indeed, it is wrong overall." He nods, fixing his gloves.
"I suppose." He grins "Well, I grew up in a small village, nothing special, went to college and became a professor, then went on my way to go into alchemy." He said, swiling his drink in his cup.
"They asked that I don't follow them. They don't approve of my morals." It takes a sip of the pulped flesh and chocolate. "This is very good. Thank you for sharing your talents with me."

“gah, not a big deal. I’m not worried about any bad luck. The worst that could happen is I don’t add enough M&Ms to my hot cocoa. Well, I mean, that’s pretty bad, now that I think about it, but… eh, you know what I mean. I’m Vanilla!”
