He looks down with his glittering blue eyes, a gentle smile on his lips. "I want you to come to my class. I have plenty of kids your age there. They'll love you. I teach them to accept others. No matter what. I think you could make some friends there."
“I don’t care if I live or die, if I die I wasn’t strong enough to live, if I live I get to fight once more.” He says, putting his drink down “Even the strongest die, and I’d like to die a warrior’s death.”
He looks up to them, and for a moment his eyes are confused before beginning to cry into their shirt “T-thank you so much. I-I would love to.”
"Every life is precious. Even a life that takes others. You are free to die as you wish, but you should live as much as possible first."
"Thank you, friend. I'm Franz." He gives them the hot chocolate. "What's your name?"
He waddles inside, looking around at the studies on the nature of fear with a sort of awe. "Wow! You've got a lot of monsters in here!"
"Yes." He replies simply. His gentle tone hasn't changed at all. "Do you know why you did that?"
The handful of mannequins in the workshop all turn their heads in unison to look right at Felix as soon as he enters the building, silently watching him. "Made 'em myself! Each and every one of these darling horrific creations has a unique design."
"It wasn't worth the risk to keep him around." It replies simply, as though talking about the weather. "Too many powerful beings looking for him, and he had already played his part in what's to come. This was the only way it could have ended without worse consequences."
"Cool! Have you ever tried to make one you could eat? People would pay big money to see those!" He seems excited. "Wait, no, it's your art, you can do what you want. I shouldn't try and take the reigns."
"But you said all beings deserve love and care. You were among the only ones doing that for him. He trusted you, and you betrayed him."
"No... no, that... that's actually a good idea. But how would such a thing work...?" She sits at her desk, producing more papers, before pausing. "That thing- the nightmare- do you know how they made it?"
"I was protecting him from further misery." It curtly responds. "To be associated with what shall follow is a curse in and of itself."

"Oh. Well, I thank you for... hold on, did you offer your own room?"
Rio then looks away respectfully.
"No, I'm just heading out. Who're you? A new employee?"
"Yes..." he says, looking away and flushing.
He takes his luggage bag and takes it into the bathroom
"Yes. I take order, give to boss, bring food out."
Eito ever so slightly raises an eyebrow but says nothing.
Rio's very worried. He quickly sheds his scales completely, and follows Mac invisibly.
"Oh, nice to meet you! I'm Mauric. I'm the janitor."
"Im sorry, that was too forward of me." he rubs his arm, frowning.
He enters a stall, forgetting to lock the door.
"I am Toothless. Nice to meet you, Mauric."
"...well... I mean... not really..." Their patches and glyphs become far more luminous.
Rio stands at the entrance to the hall, making sure Mac doesn't do anything he oughtn't to.
Mauric offers a handshake.
"It's up to you..." he says, shrugging and flushing.
All Mac does is change his clothes, stuffing his dirties in a seperate bag. He comes out with both bags and sits back in his booth.
He accepts it, his grip firm and friendly.
"...I would... like that."
Rio is greatly relieved but quickly realizes how creepy his well-intentioned actions may seem to an observer. He runs out and moves to the entrance of the inn before reforming her appearance. He heads back toward his own seat casually.
"So when did you get hired?"

Mac waves Rio over as he stretches and yawns, waking up.
"Been here, 12 days... so, 10 days ago. You?"
Eito looks flustered and follows.
"Hi!" He walks over.
"I've been working here since June."

“Sounds like a good man who will enjoy every moment of life with you.” He smiles “I’m happy for you Lilac.”
She takes the glass, draining it slowly while looking them up and down “If you say so.” She stands up, looking down to them “How about something less… cursed?”
"We are engaged." she smiles stupidly, tapping her forepaws excitedly.
"Sure. I just got in a 40 year old vintage whiskey. would you like some?"
He smiles widely back at her, patting her head “That sounds wonderful, I hope he lives a long and happy life with you, every day better than the last.”
She licks her extraordinarily long fangs “I would like that, I haven’t had anything like that in a long time.”
"I hope so too... I told him I would find a way to extend his life If possible... I want you to meet him someday."
"On the house" she says, pouring them a glass.
“One day I will be happy to meet him, I’ll try not to intimidate him any.” He says with a chuckle, finishing up helping people.
She takes the glass, downing it in one go, She can notice the Duchess has full healed.
