From the decaying, brown, dead leaves swirling outside of the Hold, a Pale figure emerges. everything besides their eerie face was concealed by a cloak fashioned from leaves of all colors, constantly shifting as the brown leaves fall and are replaced by new ones, which wither away again within minutes. they enter the tavern, smiling, revealing an Otherworldly light illuminating their dark face.
*i love fey*
A hooded human (Atleas they look like one) watches them from a distance, their glowing eyes being the only dissernable feature in their shrouded hood
the figure walks over to the "Human". "Excuse me sir, could you please tell me where this is?" they asked in a hypnotic, sweet voice.
"Its the nightmare hold." He replys, his voice sounding raspy like it hadn't been used in a while, "Ravenloft in specific, but i suspect you figured that" they seem confused at the sorta hypnotic touch to their voice
"Finally! I didn't think i'd ever arrive, even with a talisman." he started to look around. "Cheerier than i expected, but it'll do. so, what brings you here?"
"I have my business here." He says, petting the head of a pitch black doberman that sits at his side, "What do you mean by a talisman?"
he holds up a small coin. "trinkets from domains of dread. the objects always find their way back, and some people use them to go to specific domains, as it can take it with them. i have quite a few."
"Coins huh?" He says, holding up a iron coin of his own, "Seen one of these before?" He asks curiously
"well, not just coins. pretty much anything relatively small and inanimate. also, i haven't seen an iron coin before."

*Bye Baalzeboop!*
Grakir starts to explore, and pulls out a little mirror. He looks into it, then puts it back. "At least I know I won't die down here," he mutters to himself.
The hooded man looms behind him, "No, you likely won't."
Grakir's head swivels to face the being. "That is good!"
They're a guant figure, like a skeleton with skin, though they seem super non chelante about everything, a shadow hound sitting beside them as they stand. The only out of norm thing about this person, beyond how deathly pale and thin they seemed, were their sunken glowing red eyes
"Do you reside here?" Grakir asks, peering unblinkingly into the red eyes.
The ringing of a small bell can be heard down the hall...
An oddly intelligent-looking zombie is standing in the middle of the next hall over, ringing a little bell and looking around. It turns to go down a random hall, still ringing the bell.
Grakir stops, tilts his head in confusion and curiosity, then decides to fly after the zombie, his wings flapping with a soft woosh.
Also, he will tap on the zombie's shoulder, in an attempt to get its attention.
The zombie whips around. "Is someone there?! How did you get down here?! Do you know the way up?!"

The zombie releases a sigh of relief. The sound mostly emanates from his right side. "No, I... kinda? I was undead when I came down here. The Hold has poor senses, so it rearranged this place with me in it. Fortunately, I eventually found these!" He holds up a fistful of tiny bells with depictions of bricks etched into the outside. "They help the Hold hear where you are. We can't make more of them, and we lost most of them a long time ago. Fortunately, I found a crate of them and took them all." He reaches into a hole in his side and pulls out another bell. He sprays it with disinfectant and hands it to Grakir. "If you want to go exploring down here, take one of these. I'm going up."

"Oh wait, doesn't that coin have something to do with the afterlife? I thought it might have looked familiar, or maybe it just reminded me of cold iron."

Grakir takes a bell, and looks at the zombie. "Thanks." He pockets it, but decides to follow the zombie back to the top.

The Master immediately embraces the zombie. "Bobby! You've been gone for centuries! I thought I'd never see you again! Here, have a three-day paid vacation!"
The Master then turns to Grakir. "If there's anything we can do for you, just let us know."
