My favorite gods are Athena, Hades and the Morrigan.
I like the Morrigan too. She’s badass.
She actually is made up of three different goddesses!
I know! One of them is Badb. Idk the other two offhand.
There should be more historical gods in dnd.
I definitely agree. Do you think gods should have stats or does that cheapen their all-powerfulness? I think only a god’s avatar should have stats (which I think is the current rule in 5e). You can’t really kill a god.
I think that if someone makes a god's stat block they should make it like a high level creature for level 20 parties
There’s a setting book, Journey to Ragnarok, based off of Norse mythology and it has stats for several gods and I assure you you would have to be a very lucky party to take any of them on. Like, Odin’s Gungnir attack, he doesn’t even need to roll. It just hits.

Well the Norse gods are an exception. Like their gods actually died in rl mythology. I think a 20th level party could take on one of them (they’d probably lose, but at least in theory they could kill the god).

you left out folklore, says the old lady. That kinda hides a lot of “lost mythology”.
I shall toss the orishas into the pot.

Speaking of mythology, there’s a game you should all check out. The Scion RPG by Onyx Path. It has Orishas in it too.
