I have just spent a lot of time that I don't have compiling this list of questions that have been asked on this thread. These do not include questions from the original thread. I might collect those later if I have the time, but definitely not today. They are only sort of in order. Here they are:
Is DDB still fun?
Where do you stand in terms of DM rulings vs. predetermined rules for every possibility?
What is your favorite magic item from the core rules?
To homebrew, or not to homebrew?
What is the biggest heartbreak your character experienced (besides their own demise)? Was it the demise of another character? An NPC? A weapon or trinket lost forever? Let's hear it.
Do you punish your dice if they roll poorly for you? (Swap them out during the session for another dice) Do you use Digital Dice on D&D Beyond? If so, do you swap them out if they roll poorly for you?
Physical dice rolls. Do you prefer they be contained within something like a tray or tower, or do you encourage the "Stranger Things" style "shooting" of a d20 like it's a game of craps, or somewhere along a spectrum between those two poles? (Waiting for someone to say they insist roles take place between two poles).
Your dice - are they all from one set or are they dice muts (coming from different sets)?
Do any of your groups do rotating DMs - whether in the same campaign, switching off for new campaigns, or for occasional one-shots to give the usual DM a break?
Question: Is there any Table Top RPG you play (other than D&D... and maybe Pathfinder, since it's very similar)? If so, which one? If not, is there one that interests you? If you are playing a different one, what is the appeal? If you're not playing another one but interested, what is the appeal?
What was the greatest or most appreciated "gift" a GM ever gave you?
Dor your campaigns do you prefer to make a completely Homebrew world? Personally I do as it means the players can’t look at the stats and it’s so much fun.
When was the last time you had a BBEG use high level spells against the Players?
Have you taken the player survey?
Does this sound balanced?
Is there a specific song, artist, or album you listen to when it's raining?
If you were to homebrew a class (or sub class) that you feel is missing - what would be the general theme of this class/subclass?
Do skeletons talk in your games? RAW, they can't, but idk how many people know that, and I prefer talking skellies anyway.
Do you think there's some low level (or, heck any level) monsters where their CR seems too low?
Does anyone use Ordeals in their games?
Have you watched the incredibly funny web series called "Neverending Nights" - which is made using Neverwinter Nights - about two heroes out to kill a dragon? If not, why?
What is your preference of music (if any specifically) and what are some bands that you enjoy listening to?
Who was the first person you ever interacted with on the DDB forums?
Do you have a monster you tend to use more for comic effect or recurring "bit" rather than an actual threat to your party?
How many of you visit DDB during work hours?
Would you use a generated culture to help you create a new one for your setting?
when making a pantheon, what rules do you follow?
Do you have specific days that you play D&D? Or is it just when everyone can make it? Or do you plan the next session (if it's not always on the same day of the week) at the end of the current session?
Have any of you played a proper game of dnd at level 20? Proper means you’re actually following the rules correctly.
Actually, not a question! Tell me about the most memorable moment your character has had (or a memorable moment as a DM, if you're more DM than player) in any of your campaigns (and if it's not clear, tell me why it was so memorable). :)
What are some house rules in your game (whether DM or player)? What are some house rules you like or dislike (may or may not be in any game you're in, but just some you've heard of?)
what are some parts of dnd that you are a noob at?
while we’re on the subject of encounter balance, two players versus four goblins. Fair?
Y'all going to see the D&D movie? Are you going with your D&D group? And do you know how to get the special d20 popcorn bucket and/or the mug? I am, I can't wait, and if you find out, please tell me because I want them lol.
Dungeons or Dragons? Choose one and tell us why.
When will this thread die?
I was on a website article about the best forms for Druid wildshape, and it said Mammoth was the best form, but don’t Druids only go up to cr 1?
What sort of encounter would you design around an aroma of stewing misdirection?
How will you go about making a level 20 npc?
How would you go about homebrewing the stats for a vehicle? And if there is a website for it, PLEASE tell me.
What are some good Homebrew rules you guys have that I can use?
If you were a Paladin oath, what would be your tenets?
Who or what was your most challenging BBEG?
In the ‘Anything BUT the OGL’ campaign, what magic item do you want to see you’re character have?
What are you just awful at when it comes to anything but the OGL?
What's the best letter in the English alphabet? Also, what's the best letter in the Dethek (dwarf) alphabet? Are they the same? (Dethek is basically a font.) For me, it's probably... T, and "J."
We all enjoy D&D - but are there any VIDEO games (whether PC, Console, Arcade, etc.) that you enjoy? Bonus points for explaining why you enjoy them?
What is your favorite number?
Do you have any long-standing D&D friendships? Meaning, are there people you've met through D&D that you are still friends with years later?
Here you go AlmightyLordofDnd, I compiled this a while ago. It doesn't have all the newest ones, but it should work.
Thanks. @Stertle09 could you please give me the answers to some of these questions?
Sure, my pleasure.
35. Dragons all day. They are so cool.
46. Idk what the best letter is but I'll tell you the worst one. C. It is absolutely usless. S makes its soft sound and K makes its hard sound
27. J. E. S. U. S. (but seriously I don't really know I've never tried unless you count Alderil)
23. I don't really remember but I think @IamSposta. The person I interact with most frequently now is @10_30inDutch
32. Pretty much everything. I am fairly new to D&D and have only played a few games
7. I literally roll mine between to polls (Jk I just roll mine I don't have a tray or tower but I might try making one)
47. I am a gamer through and through. A few games I love: Minecraft, Pokemon (Specifically Pokemon Sun because it was my first one and to this day still my favorite in terms of story), Mario Kart 8, Terraria, Super Smash Bro's, and Skyrim even though I haven't played much of it.
48. 471
41. My Minecraft races (Still W.I.P. and will be for several years pbbly)
22. 70's and 80's Rock music is my favorite and my top three favorite bands are (from bottom to top) AC/DC, Journey, and Aerosmith.
28. My group tries to play on Sundays but we often fail to meet (Like Today)
Journey! I feel you. Music from after 1990 rarely ever sounds good to me. There’s a few exceptions, but not many.
THANK YOU!

You don't get to decide. Half the fun is - you answer the questions - and allmightydnd assigns a race and class to you. None of us picked what he selected for us. Which has been hilarious.
Oh ok nice
Yeah - and it's similar, I don't get to decide where the story is going - as I have nothing planned. Typically this thread helps shove it in a specific direction based off of things we discuss here. (For example, if AllMighty assigns a different race and class, I'd probably fit it in the story that your character says, "I always wondered what being an artificer who is a tortle would be like... what do they do for their armor since they already have their shell?" And then the current tortle or artificer in the party might respond in the story with whatever lol)

Now I see you said Journey, and 80's rock... as I grew up in the 80's... what other 80's rock bands do you like?
I see your signature (something tells me if AllMighty sees that he's going to make you a Cleric... lol) - were you ever into, for example, Stryper?
(Side note, they're going to be in San Diego in a few months at the House of Blues, and I am hoping to go...)
No I have never heard of Stryper. some other bands I like are, Bon Jovi, Genesis, ZZ Top (Not actually sure if thats in the 80's or 90's), Brian Adams, and Guns N Roses.

Hah - OK... color me shocked. Especially since you know Bon Jovi and such. So I assume you're were more specifically the 80's rock side of things, rather than what would be considered 80's metal (such a Iron Maiden, Lizzy Borden, even Ratt, Quiet Riot, etc)? Because if you were into 80's metal, I would have presumed (not assumed, heh!) that you'd have heard of Stryper especially if your signature is any indication of your religious beliefs. (Stryper is a band that became known for being a Christian Metal band... which was an interesting position, because people were like, "They're in it for the money!" And Stryper was like, "Really? Because most people in Church who hear us don't like it because it's metal and the metal community doesn't like us because of our lyrics. In it for the money is the last reason!") :)

“I believe we may have a method for hunting down the green hag, Mealladh, Lady Dolorosa,” IAmSposta, the Satyr bard bowed to the ghostly apparition. “However, that will require allowing us to leave your woods.”
“I will keep your lion friend as a prisoner,” Dolorosa explained, “to ensure you do not betray me.”
“We can agree to those terms,” IAmSposta assured her. “You have my word as a bard.”
Sirtawmis smacked IAmSposta on the back of the head. “That’s not going to mean much to her.”
“You have my word,” ChoirOfFire placed her hand on her deity’s crest, which she wore proudly on her breastplate. “It would be my duty to not only slay a creature of such evil, as the hag queen; but also to ensure your spirit is given the rest it deserves.”
“I grant you an exit then,” the spiritual figure said, her voice echoing all around them; when suddenly the woods parted and a clear path through the thicket and thorns became clear. “A reminder, if you do not return, your lion friend shall perish.”
As the party cleared past the woods, IAmSposta turned to the others. “We will need to make our way to Caise. That’s the closet location that I know has a rift to the Feywild.”
“Caise?” Wysperra clapped his Halfling hands. “I love Caise! It is the city best known for its cheeses!”
“Well, we have more urgent matters to attend to,” AEDorsay, the desert elf wizard explained, her tone like a dagger – sharp and to the point.
“But we can get some cheese, right?” Wysperra asked, as the others began marching towards Caise.
Caise was a massive city, whose people took great pride in their red wines and their cheese; and while it welcomed, what they called “tourists” – the expectation of these tourists is that they would be well dressed and well behaved, and as such, adventurers were frequently frowned upon when they came to Caise, as they did not look what they considered “civilized.”
From outside the city gates, IAmSposta shook his head. “This isn’t going to be easy. They’re not welcoming of orcs, goblins, kobolds, and the like – they still have that narrow vision of considering you monsters. I am not sure,” he admitted, “if it’s that they consider you monsters, or the fact that your ‘type’ are never among the higher end ‘civil class’ as the people of Caise like to say. Give me a moment,” he said and made his way, skipping towards Caise.
“Hold on,” Theology of Bagels, the Cleric of the deity of Biadh, lord and master of food and gluttony. “We look like monsters – but some half-goat man thing is welcomed there?”
Sirtawmis smiled and turned towards Theology. “I wouldn’t say he’s welcomed… He’s horrible at singing inspiriting lyrics as we all know, but when he needs to, he can be a silver tongued devil.” Sirtawmis looked at ChoirOfFire, “No offense, if whoever in your blood line was an actual silver tongued devil.”
ChoirOfFire folded her hands across the chest, “I take no offense,” she pouted.
A moment later, IAmSposta returned with a backpack full of robes. “Here, put these on,” as he handed one to Theology, Amnon, Antonsirius and Sirtawmis. “Keep your faces hidden. Just to avoid any headaches. We will need to make it to the center of the town where the garden is – and the large oak tree is – guarded by a Dryad named Nimloth. Try not to attract any attention to yourselves.”
As the party reached the city gates, the party moved with another merchant’s cart, pretending to be employees. Once inside, they began to make their way to the center, the air smelling of fine wine and cheese. One of the women stopped AEDorsay and said, “Gods! I must know who designed your dress! Those cuts! So fashionable!”
AEDorsay looked at her dress – the thorns of the Dolorosa Woods had torn them up, and while traveling to the city, she cut and tied the dress in a way to make it look as if it’d been their design all along. “Well,” she answered matter-of-factly, “in truth, I am the designer of these artfully torn robes.”
“You must come to my home and design one for me!” the woman pleaded.
IAmSposta cleared his throat, urging AEDorsay to hurry along. “Yes, perhaps in time. I have a… fashion show to attend to. Perhaps you could give me the location of your home and I might pay you a visit when I have a free moment?”
The woman fawned at the notion and quickly scribbled her address for AEDorsay.
Wysperra bumped into AEDorsay as the other woman left and the wizard looked down at the Halfling, watching as he stuffed blocks of cheese in his mouth. She shook her head and thought nothing more of it.
When the party reached the garden they approached the giant oak tree which towered higher than any of the buildings in Caise.
“Nimloth, I call upon thee, a favor I need to ask; a rift, a door, a passage way to gain entrance, to the realm of the Feywild,” IAmSposta seemed to speak to the giant oak. The others, except Sirtawmis, seemed to exchange looks wondering if the Satyr had gone mad.
Suddenly the most breath taking woman emerged from the base of the tree. “My little Satyr, you’ve returned with…”
IAmSposta cleared his throat, “Yes,” he cut her off. “It would seem that we have need passage to the Feywild. A companion of ours has been captured by a banshee who was murdered by the Hag Queen, Mealladh.”
“My precious Satyr,” the dryad said, with a concerned tone. “You can’t hope to get near the Hag Queen.”
“We actually have a plan,” IAmSposta explained. He gestured behind him, to the changeling rogue, Midnightplat.
Midnightplat smiled, “We have met, you and I, Nimloth.” Even as he spoke the words, his body changed, as did his voice.
Nimloth smiled, “Well, it is good to ‘see’ you again, Reothadh.”
“And you, my lady,” as Midnightplat’s body shifted back to his changeling self.
Suddenly another voice called out, “If you are going to the Feywild, I would like to go with you.”
The party turned and saw what appeared to be a human cleric or paladin, based on the heavy armor they wore and the symbol of Gradh on their chest – the goddess of love.
“Listen,” IAmSposta shrugged. “I am sure you want to get your jollies in the Feywild, but we’re already rather large sized.”
“It’s not jolly I seek,” the human explained. “For over four hundred and forty six years, I have been seeking revenge against the one known as Lord Bhasmhor.”
IAmSposta’s eyes grew wide as even Sirtawmis looked stunned hearing the name.
“You can not possibly be that old for a human,” Amnon_Balderk explained.
“I am more than human,” he retorted as he took a step closer and bore his fangs. “I am Dhampir, and I seek the man who is my father – Lord Bhasmhor – and I have tracked him into the Feywild. But Lady Nimloth said I could not have passage until the time is right. She said on the red moon,” and he pointed up, “like my bloodline, the time will align.”
In the horizon a red moon was still cresting in the heavens.
Nimloth smiled, “It’s true. The times have aligned. He is to go with you, little Satyr.”
IAmSposta sighed.
“What’s your name,” Sirtawmis finally asked, shaking the shock from his face.
“Stertle09,” the human replied. “I was a Cleric, but when my change took over, I became a warrior of light, seeking to drive the darkness from this world – namely, my father.”
“Stertle09,” Sirtawmis shook his head. “Another weird name. Can I ask about the 09? And just how old are you?”
Stertle09 nodded. “I was a part of nonuplets. My mother, as you can imagine, was so delirious she named us the same – just adding a number after our names. I had eight other brothers. They all succumbed to the need to feast. I was forced to kill each and every one of them. Now my father is the last one and my quest will be over. In human seasons, I'd be considered twenty-five. So I've been alive for 471 years.”
Nimloth opened the portal into the Great Oak – and on the other side the wildness of the Feywild could be seen… luminescent plants of incredible sizes and colors shown like distant stars.
As the party stepped through and the portal closed; they were all surprised to hear a loud gurgling sound, then the sounds of a growl.
As they turned, where the once Halfling artificer stood, was a wererat.
“So,” Wysperra’s nose twitched as he itched his whiskers. “Is this a good time to mention my Lycanthropy?”
===
Fun bits – when I needed a reason for the 09 in the name I looked up what it’s called to have 9 babies and surprised to see a woman recently broke the world record for having nine babies! https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-63955055
Another fun note, AllMightyLordOfDND messaged me and said Wysperra should be a ratling – this was because of Wysperra’s avatar - but since there are no ratling races – I figured Lycanthropy and a wererat made sense and use it for yet another cliff hanger!
The AEDorsay dress thing is from the thread, where she said she artfully tears her robes.
The 471 years, was because that was Stertle09's favorite number when they answered the questions.
Were. You killed them all because they succumbed to the vampiric side of the thirst, craving blood. :) That's why, in my head, you went from cleric to paladin. Gone from priestly, to now needing a sword and board, because you had to hunt and kill your siblings, once you realized they were feeding on innocents.
Earlier, I mentioned the blood moon (unrelated, but it worked out for this) - and the city you're in being known for red wine - all references to 'blood.'
Oh ok nice

"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen" - 1 Timothy 1:17
So when will I learn what I am
"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen" - 1 Timothy 1:17
(also just saying, unless I missed something you guys don't have a warforged yet. *Much nudging and winking*)
"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen" - 1 Timothy 1:17
Hah - OK... color me shocked.

==================================
===

Nice, There are eight more of me
"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen" - 1 Timothy 1:17
Were. You killed them all because they succumbed to the vampiric side of the thirst, craving blood. :)
That's why, in my head, you went from cleric to paladin.

I just got back from vacation, and I had a... terrible time. I did write a speech, though, so that's cool. I didn't get to read it, so... less cool.
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
May each word that I speak be backed by each of my teeth.
sorry
