I would also have to go with dungeons. Dragons are cool and all but no lair exploration? no bandit den? no carnitor hive? no castle invasion investigation?

I would have to go with dungeons because so many things can actually be considered dungeons. While I love dragons, there are plenty of great monsters that can take their place as the scary rich tyrants (in terms of evil dragons) or the benevolent and wise mentors (in terms of good dragons).
Hard choice, but I'd have to say dungeons. They are a lot more versatile than dragons, and that's saying something. While I love dragons, I think the game could possibly function without them, and the same can't so easily be said for dungeons.

Question of the day: what is your favorite Pokémon fusion from Infinite Fusion Generator? Mine is either Arceus and Mew, in that order, to the left, or Machamp and Machamp.
Have you got a favorite Race/Species + Class combo that you generally enjoying playing the most?
I expect that I can speak for most people in saying, I have only played a small handful of races and classes. I've played goblin, human, triton, bugbear, and goliath -- and that's probably more than most!
My favorite type of racial feature is one that lets you communicate with weird stuff. They're basically ribbon features but I really like them. Also resistances are often fun. So triton ranks pretty high for me. Goliath was also quite enjoyable. Goblin felt like I was cheating a little bit.
I've played Fighter, Warlock, Paladin, Monk, and Barbarian. The most fun for me comes from strongly hitting the core fantasy of the class, and for my money the Paladin is the best at that. Fighter is also pretty good. Bard and Warlock both feel like I'm able to do nearly anything, but I have to stray from the core fantasy. Playing it straight feels kind of limited.

Mis-read the question, I enjoy playing Elves because they're pretty. Favorite class used to be Fighter/Rogue but the game has changed so I don't have to be as self-reliant anymore. 5e has turned me into a Paladin player.

I have played a wizard, druid, sorcerer, monk, and ranger all once. I have played a bard twice, or maybe thrice, and I have played warlocks a few times before too.
The races I have played once are satyr, human, water genasi, warforged, and tiefling. I have played elves a couple of times, as well as dragonborn.
So far I don't think I have ever done a combination more than once. I like to try a new thing each time I make a character.

Both of the Scizor/Gengar fusions are pretty neat with the Rayman detached hands. There are so many of these, it's impossible to know the best one.
Chandelure/Gengar looks pretty neat in my opinion. Specifically the right one.

Scratch that, Chandelure and Hydriegon absolutely.

I didn’t even know about these ones. They’re all so epic.

Oh, new faves: Honedge/Porygon. Somebody had fun with those. Love finding the ones that were clearly drawn by hand
Yeah. Those are the best.

I've been wanting to play a Grung Monk as their features go hand in hand.

Old Lizardfolk + Ranger. They just go so well together.
