QotD: If you could be any D&D race/species IRL, and it wouldn’t be a problem, what would you choose and why?
Autognome. I can simultaneously bring gnomes and autonomous-but-not-world-ending robots into the world. Win win.

First thought is elves. They get access to magic, so that's a bonus, plus they don't need to sleep and only need to meditate for four hours, meaning I could spend more time being lazy-- I mean, productive.

Hello! I am a perfectly sane gibberer. Hi! :D
Locations are dead, the Temple of Potassium has fallen but its ideals live on
DM's: what's the funniest lore you've made for your campaign, the silliest monster or encounter, something along those lines. Players: what is the funniest character you've made? You don't have to have used it, but a character concept that was just silly.
For the DM side, I think the funniest lore I've injected would be the character Nikalos (essentially Santa Claus) because he always shows up in need of help (can't find his gem of levitation for his reindeer, lost his bag of holding that has gifts, a snowman has gone crazy, a christmas tree is a wild treant, etc etc). And he always gives the party random gifts (each has 12 charges, for the 12 days of Christmas) - and the gifts are silly (ugly sweater, while wearing it anyone has disadvantage to hit you, because they want to look away, but social checks are at disadvantage - no other armor can be worn while wearing this - was a favorite of a lot of people). But I typically make 12 gifts like that and after they help Nikalos, I make them each roll a d12 to see which gift they get.
Funniest character I've made, as a player would probably be my Kender for a 2nd Edition D&D Campaign. My funniest NPC I've made as a DM is a character who is modeled after Arnold Swartzenager (sp) because I do my impression of him when that NPC talks.
All the way to middle of page three… that was the farthest I’ve ever seen us. So, today we have both a Question and a Quest of the Day!
The Question: What do you look for in unofficial D&D products? Do you want new magic items, races, subclasses, spells, or even classes? Or do you prefer new rules and unique play style adaptations? Perhaps you just want a book that provides lore?
The Quest: Create a new subclass or race for D&D; something never seen before. BUT, do not create the statistics. Tell me about their lore and how they fit in alongside the other character options in D&D!
I typically look for new Race/Species/Whatever You Want To Call it and/or Class options. Since I am a forever DM - I look for things that can benefit my players. I enjoy when there's new monsters too (for myself to use as a DM) - but I look for what benefits my players before I look at things that can benefit me in the way that I can throw things at my players. I make exceptions if something of interest to me - like the Dragonlance book - comes out, because as a long time Dragonlance fan I wanted it and been waiting to see how they would do Dragonlance in 5e.
QotD: If you could be any D&D race/species IRL, and it wouldn’t be a problem, what would you choose and why?
That’s a tough one. Elf is popular so far because of their longevity, but personally, I don’t really like elves. I think I would like to go down the path of Eberron and be a Kalashtar.
QotD: If you could be any D&D race/species IRL, and it wouldn’t be a problem, what would you choose and why?
Either...
Hedge. I'd change my name to Hans and run out into the woods riding a giant rooster. Then I'd take up pig farming and play the bag pipes all day long in the trees as I wait for a princess to come along and marry me.
Aarokocra. The ability to fly would be amazing and wind powers are cool.
Firbolg. I find their elusive nature and connection to wildlife appealing. I basically get to be a sasquatch.
I think being one of the animals from Humblewood would be very cool but I don't how my family would react and I'd probably end up in a lab for the rest of my life.
At least with Elf you can just say you wanted to look like a Vulcan and had your ears done. Long life and Prestidigitation would be pretty cool.

Warforged. I have chronic pain due to a genetic condition, so being a robot would probably fix that. Additionally, they don't age and don't have to eat, drink, breathe, or sleep. Ever since I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me and all that.

Hi! I'm EJO. I am a silly billy who forgets to play Genshin Impact every day and totally DOESN'T simp for at least three different ninja girls. Some other facts about me:
Milio has been ditched. Now Xerath is my friend.
My average accuracy in Marvel Rivals is about 15%.
QotD(ish): Which D&D monster is the awesome-est in your opinion, and why?

It depends on what we consider awesome. For sheer power and ideas, I have always enjoyed the Beholder.
But in terms of an awesome monster I've come to enjoy using is the Sahuagin. Because that whole blood frenzy is pretty amazing. A memoriable encounter with my players has dubbed them "the most evil race in the world." lol

A mysterious link of chain... (Extended signature). PRAISE JEFF THE EVIL ROOMBA! REALLY cool video.
One of the Warlock Patrons on the forums. Low, low price of your soul, your firstborn child and your liver!
Titles: The Echoing Story Spewer from Drummer, the Endless Maws from Isis, the Mad Murderer from PJ
I would be a neutral or chaotic good drow who follows Eilistraee and fights against the tyranny of Lolth.
I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).
Changeling. As an actor, being able to change my appearance would be awesome. Plus, I can prank my friends.

I would probably go (Wood) Elf. Because of the longevity (of elves) and the idea of being connected/close to nature.

The awesomnest is...Well, I once made a homebrew undead dragon that combined the stats of the following into one megabeast of destruction
Beledros Witherbloom from Strixhaven
The Unhatched from Creature Codex by kobold press
An ancient topaz dracolich
An ancient deep shadow dragon
& one more I forgot.
Needless to say, it was awesome. Not neccesarily the Awesome-est one though

There's a few monsters that have stuck with me. The relentless slasher and relentless juggernaut VRGtR are really interesting.
