Hi? Can i join? My idea is this: neothelids. They're basically just really big mind flayer tadpoles. what if you put one in the head of an unconscious tarrasque. Boom. Mind flayer tarrasque.
That's actually a really cool idea! Mind flayer tadpoles, I mean, it doesn't get much more epic than that. Welcome to the Guild!
Yay! Whats my ranking?

I want you to know. You are going to lose. You are going to lose badly. You’re going to lose badly and it’s going to be awesome.
Hey Drummer, I come seeking your advice, as well as anyone else who might be able to help.
I have an idea for a forum game somewhat similar to your Sleepover games (which were awesome by the way). It would take place in the larger, more open world setting of a city overrun by the weirdest stuff. Lizardmen have replaced the cops, radios blare prophetic nonsense, zombie garbage collectors gather fine art to take to the dump, and bird seed is the main form of currency. A major inspiration for this is the True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem and Calvin and Hobbes. Both are incredibly different comics, but the "magic system" is a combination of the two. It revolves around nostalgic childhood memories and imaginations. Punk teens fight against monsters with plastic ray guns that fire blazing lasers when they shout "Pow!" and they dress in wacky outfits, using rubber masks you might find at a dollar store, 3-D glasses, and similar items. I realize this is really weird, maybe too weird for folks to get interested in, but I'd like to try and see if it works sometime.
I've been looking through some old similar taverns and games that had their own mechanic systems like Sleepover, Tick-Tock Diner, and Cryptid Cabin. My game will probably be a little more complicated rules wise than Sleepover, but I'm hoping to keep it simple. A large part of it will revolve around equipment that you start with and pickup along the way.
I think the game will be missions based. You'll start at a sort of home base, maybe a treehouse or a garage, I'm not sure yet, and there will be all sorts of missions to accomplish in this semi-post apocalyptic world where only teens who know how to use their imaginations and memories, whether painful or joyful, to fight against the monsters and Boogeymen that lurk in the city streets as well as the quiet suburbs.
So what do you think? I know it's really weird. Do you have any advice for running this sort of game?
Okay first of all, this is weird and I LOVE IT. I don't know what it is, but the goofy webcomic vibes of kids fighting monsters with toy weapons sounds so awesome?? It was exactly what I was going for with the sleepover.
As for tips, you've got to like, show everyone the cool stuff you have on offer quickly to grasp attention an stuff. Not saying you have to do loads with the story or missions at the start, but you need something that immediately shows the depth and vibe of the game. For example, my attempt at this was the sleepover rules.
Also, even if the missions will be the main part of the game, there needs to be a unique place for characters to just hang out, because you can bet your life people will want to just rp sometimes, especially if you're not on to run the missions (assuming you're needed for them, I don't know what you have in mind). I went for like the chill vibe of the fort in contrast with the spooky vibe of the rest of the sleepover, but it can honestly be anything as long as its unchanging really.
I was gonna write a bit about making sure to be creative with design and weapo- and then I stopped myself cause I remembered you're dark lmao, you know what you're doing.
Lastly, depending on the popularity of the thread, it can be taxing, running stuff for everyone lmao. Don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of it, and when I was in the mood I could write for days. But when you're not entirely feeling the creative energy, but you don't want to leave someone hanging by not responding to them asap, it can be taxing lmao. That's why I decided (after not doing so in the first sleepover-) to record everything I wrote in some form of notes, so unless a character did something no one else had done yet, I had a quick response to use, that might only need a little changing to fit into the story.
Hope that hopes in some way lmao!

Elsa is entirely engrossed in Moonlight's explanations, seeming to absorb all this information relatively well. They seem to be taking notes on a blank page of Amidais' book.
"That sounds so fascinating! Our--- method of transportation seems much--- more complex than yours. I--- remember the Doctor calling it--- [matter displacement]." *The orange text is a playback of a voice recording from Elsa's time with the Doctor.*
The kings eyes grow slightly wider as he hears the voice recording, but he quickly realises its Elsa. He's now slightly more invested in this conversation.
"Right, that reminds me. I've heard both you and the... other you, talk about this Doctor person. Who exactly is he?"
"We... don't have anywhere near as much information on the doctor as we would like. We recently went on a flight to kill him, but failed miserably. All that we know is that he wants Elsa, or 01 as he calls them, and that he's capable of sending large machines to attack us. Plus whatever Elsa remembers."
"-The doctor runs a large--- corporation back at Konton, my--- 'home world' in a sense. No doubt, they're using its--- revenue to fund their--- war machines. They're my--- creator, in a manner of--- speaking. I don't know why--- they want me to return--- to Konton, and I hope I--- never find out."
Yvonne frowns, thinking about what Elsa said. "If they run a whole enterprise, it probably means they have lots of resources and manpower behind them. They could feasibly keep making more of those... things..." Yvonne remembers back to the end of their expedition... the sounds of Ukhu and Telal tearing through the engines... she shudders at the thought. "If just one of them takes our full effort to drive off..."
streaking across the night sky is a bright, emerald green glow. A comet. It lights up the sky and leaves a bright trail of the same emerald green that lasts for minutes. Then, there is a large explosion in a nearby forest a few miles from the lair. Smoke rises from the distance.

Amidais looks up from the map on the table in front of him, seeing the streak of emerald slowly fading into the surrounding night. "This day just keeps getting more peculiar, doesn't it?"
