I want you to know. You are going to lose. You are going to lose badly. You’re going to lose badly and it’s going to be awesome.
The Sun Lotus seems completely immune to the flames. In fact, the fire might be affecting it positively. Its roots dig deeper and firmly root the elephant sized plant into the charred area around it, the roots at least a foot long at this point, thriving in the charred ground with no competition. As they continue to blast it with fire, a small sprout makes its way out of the ground, only an inch or so tall, near the front of the group. It’s a vibrant green and it starts to sprout a small flower, a glowing pale yellow. Slowly, more and more of these sprout over the course of a few minutes, dozens of them, each no more than 50 feet from the lotus. After that, their growth slows down a bit and fewer flowers constantly start growing. There’s around 30 of the little sprouts right no.
The group takes a good few steps back as the flowers sprout out of the ground, really unsure of the intentions of this Lotus. A spectral blade flies from one of their hands, attempting to cut one of the emerging blooms in half.
It cuts cleanly through the emerging flower, but the wound of the small flower quickly closes up. They all start sprouting tiny leaves, including the injured one.
After the events of the last few hours, the soldiers are not taking any chances, and are justibly scared. Magical flames roar from the spellcasters fingertips, attempting to purge these plants from the ground.

"It seems like no one here remembered Elsa, which somewhat makes sense- they aren't from our plane, so they probably weren't cloned like you and Amidais. But, I haven't seen my counterpart yet. I left a simulacrum at the Lair a while back, before we set off to Konton... did that version of me trick the plane into thinking I was already there when the split occurred? This... this is all so confusing."
"-Whatever happened here, it seems--- this plane is the only one--- that's changed in a wide radius. The split--- must be localized to this plane."
The king nods, agreeing with his companions. "If we're... correct, in assuming all of this, then we need to take on a whole new approach. If the reality is split, and some of us have been cloned, that means it might actually, for once, not be the doctor messing with us." The king sighs, not sure if that's a positive fact or a negative one. "This is our own doing."
"The other version of me seems angry, and confused, like us. If it was created as we left, and has looked after the guild since, I can see why it would act like this when us three turn up. We may need to try and convince them that we're not from the doctor, or have hostile intentions."
"If negotiations are in order, then we need to find a way to stop the other king from just charging in and attacking before we can get our words out. Maybe if we begin from hiding..."
"-We could also attempt to--- restrain the other Drummer. Either--- with nets, magic, or- if necessary- myself."
"I'm against the idea of putting anyone in danger, but if we do need to restrain my counterpart, then we'll need all the help we can get. What could we even say, how could we explain this in a way that would be reasonable?" The king rubs his temples.

There is a shout from a little ways away from the Spider King.
"My liege, I'm coming!"
Amidais is hurriedly heading over to his king, behind him... seemingly nothing. But the platoon of 20 Mantis behind the royal vizier can still be faintly heard- their metal footfalls softly thudding against dirt and stone roads and across roof tiles. Every so often, one of their visor-eyes shimmers with light from within, revealing their location for the briefest instant before the Mantis disappears again.
"Amidais." The spider king seems shocked, but pleased to see him. "What are... where... how many were you able to get?"

The small sprouts are unfazed by the searing flames, and seem to actually thrive in the heat. More start to sprout, and others thicken and grow upwards, sprouting into grasses and weeds. The original lotus’ roots spread quickly as well. Weeds and roots and vines sprout around where the soldiers are standing, growing glowing leaves and strange flowers tinted in unnatural, otherworldly hues. The flowers and vines so far reach out to about 50 feet away from the lotus, and show no signs of stopping.

(Basically they get a fire bolt thrown at them)
