"Fine then! Investigate! I don't care! Just stay out of my work." He teleports away.
As long as he is in the city he will run into a clone.
He just kills whatever clone he comes across.
Eventually the real Happy Chaos appears when he kills a clone. He stands looking at Cogin, his revolvers gleaming and his arms crossed.
"How is having clones get mixed with my work "good for the people?" If anything it has a negative impact as it slows down me helping these people."
“My clones are working everywhere in the city, you know what would be best for the people? If we worked together and you weren’t at my throat.”
"No. As I said before, stay out of my work so I may figure this out in peace. I already believe I know who is behind it, in fact."
“And who might that be? Actually didn’t one of my clones tell you about the birds before you knew anything about that?”
"I am not telling you, as then you would likely get in my way more by attempting to investigate them. Additionally, the birds aren't exactly the most hidden thing. Even if you didn't tell me, I would have found them."

Hello! I am a perfectly sane gibberer. Hi! :D
Locations are dead, the Temple of Potassium has fallen but its ideals live on
The city seems to be split up into different districts- housing, food, entertainment, and so on. In the center is a town square marketplace, along with the mountain with the T.O.M on it. However, there also seems to be a strange tension in the air. A strange symbol of what appears to be an infinite staircase appears all around. There also is old and faded images of a tree with golden roots, the gold becoming gilded on the trunk and fading on the branches until no gold is left.
*just curious, what's the technology level here, on average?*
They love this new atmosphere, some aspects are similar and also quite different from their own home. A couple merchants in the group decide to set up carts in the marketplace and sell and trade wares. The leaders of the group then go to find entrance to the T.O.M.
*Still very old-timey, like maybe medevial at best. The buildings are wood and stone, unlike modern steel buildings.*
A convienent path leads up to it. At the top is the T.O.M, which has a convienent door leading inside.
*sweet*
"Mm, sure do love this pattern of convienent things." They happily open the door and head inside.

...and started me on my way into my next chapter in life...
"I am currently interrogating this monstrous crow, who I have given intelligence and the ability to speak to. They say that Crotalus is involved, who already fits with the descriptor of the being appearing in the city's nightmares."
"croaltus doesn't do this sort of thing. the serpent, on the other hand, seems to be a corrupter."
"The evidence points to Crotalus. If he is innocent, then I shall investigate this serpent you speak of. In fact..." He realizes something. "Is Crotalus not part of the chaos walkers? You very much could be lying about the serpent's existence to attempt to remove suspicion of him."
"i swear on my heart, soul, and mind that the serpent is real. i swear on the lives of my followers, on my strength, and on the chaos walkers. i swear on time itself."
"You are a being of chaos. You could still be lying, or twisting the truth. Perhaps the serpent exists but is good natured."
"I am a being of good as well. I follow my heart, rather than rules. and while no rule prevent me from lying, my heart does."
"Even if that is truly the case, I cannot trust what you say pertaining to these occurrences. The evidence simply doesn't allow me to safely trust your word."
"you are far more powerful than me. simply read my mind. I shall not resist."
"I have studied the nature of Greater Wills, and it they cannot use their powers to affect other Greater Wills, even if willing. I can read the mind of this crow, but I cannot read the mind of a Greater Will like you."
"not without a battle"
"You wish me to battle you?"
*I'm using the wording "greater wills cannot use their power to affect other wills" from the domain section, not the fighting in levels.*
"it is proven that wills are able to affect other wills, by defeating said will in a contest of power. if we engage in such a contest, and I purposefully lose, you should be able to fead my mind"
The sun at the red festival has nearly set, and the gravediggers are growing restless in their crypt.
Aemulus is preparing for stage 2 of its horrible, evil plan.
The crows continue flocking in the city, carving the staircase symbol everywhere they can. Some people have suggested giving the symbol a name, like “evil’s door,” or “the Crow’s Sign,” but none of the names have stuck yet. Some news has also started to travel around town like wildfire: a group of ten people were found in the basement of a house, reading from a book containing writing in some sort of yet to be solved code, and that same infinite staircase and eye symbol on the book. They were discovered after two nearby houses collapsed and killed all the people inside. The ten cultists were arrested and are being held in captivity until an elder or order of the mythos member decides what to do with them.
