*ALSO- I forgot something to tell you when Cog read the Crow’s mind: he could feel something… watching him, that wasn’t the crow. It was looking from its eyes*
*Okay*
Cogintius is currently in the desert again, looking for Crotalus.
Faltros is waiting for the devils to arrive that supposedly spotted intruders.
The area is as creepy and chaotic as ever.
Cogintius feels the presence of the crown once again.
Crotalus is again not present. It says, it’s magical eye appearing in front of the sun, invisible to all but Cog.
Aemulus slithers into court of Faltros.
“Faltros, I have news.”
One of the nomad leaders investigates the area from afar. The other two are trying to cast a rudimentary version of divination, which they have learned and have been perfecting after they discovered it from Herionidus’ priests. They are trying to figure out what is happening.
He looks around. "I have more evidence pointing to Crotalus." He holds up the intelligence-enhanced crow that said Crotalus was involved.
He looks up. "And what may that be?"
The two divinating nomads immediately fall into a deep slumber the moment their spells go into effect, trapped in a series of nightmares making nearly no sense yet plenty of sense at the same time.
I see. How does an animal not from the desert relate to Crotalus?
”It seems my plan to cause chaos within the city of order has worked! I have recruited around one hundred cultists to my cause, them wanting power and me giving them power, in exchange for working for me. In addition, i have corrupted a flock of crows into spreading my symbol to cause panic and confusion through the city. They have no knowledge I am what created them, believing they work for the desert god Crotalus. While I cannot control directly them because of this, I can see through their eyes and hear what they hear, so Cogintius believes that Crotalus is behind the madness. I shall grow the expansion of the cult, and try to assure one of them a position as an elder. In addition, I have another idea, in case Cogintius decides to try and come down here to confront us…”
the other leader rushes to their side and tries to shake them awake, panicked.
"This crow has directly said Crotalus is related to the occurrences here."
"And what is that?"
They nearly wake up, but stay asleep.
I see. I suggest you leave now before Crotalus gets back. You are an Overgod, but I doubt you want to go around killing other deities. It could upset his pantheon, his people, other gods. So much chaos…
“based on information gathered by the crows and my cultists, Cogintius knows that a serpent is related to the scheme, or that they are at least being blamed for it. But, he has never met me. I could change my form, and in doing so pretend to be a prisoner of The underworld gods. He would likely rescue me, and I would be invited into the city. There, i could more effectively cause chaos. Now, if all of that goes according to plan, how would you like to have an avatar in the mortal world? Mortal, but ungodly powerful and capable of enacting your will when you cannot?”
The leader motions for some Herionidians to try and help him get them back to the campsite.
"No. I shall interrogate him and determine his true motives. If he is guilty, he shall be punished. Otherwise, I shall follow any other leads I can find."
He seems more interested now, and leans forward. "Oh? That sounds like it would be fun. But how?"
Suddenly, the two leaders wake. It's almost like a thought has been placed in their mind while asleep, nonsensical and sensical at once like the nightmares they experienced- a Will is behind this, great and mighty. They should either flee or swear fealty.
please leave.
”each and every one of my scales contains a curse that, when I shed them, will plague the world. Once I shed them to change my form, I will be able to inflict them. I shall find a creature soon to be born, curse them and inflict them with both my essence and yours, and once they are born, they could become a puppet for us, with the powers of a monster of epic proportions, bowing to our will and living in the mortal world. As long as another will doesn’t break the curse before it is born, we can create the avatar. If the curse is broken, however, some of the power may linger and the creature born may… carry some of that power over with them.
the leader suggests that they flee, and tells all of them to pack their things and get ready to leave as soon as possible. That will take a few hours, though.

Hello! I am a perfectly sane gibberer. Hi! :D
Locations are dead, the Temple of Potassium has fallen but its ideals live on
The strange area's mind is unfathomable. What appears to be a shadowy, curved line is forming. It also seems to be in a different place then before.
okhmus prowls in, unafraid and accompanied by more of his species.
The area remains a chaotic limbo, dirt rising, then exploding, then falling into the ground and repeating the process again. It seems many materials have been added, such as stone, water, metals, cloth, spices, and wood. Alien energy crackles.
The curved line seems to move a bit.
okhmus howls, and the words showyourself beat into the minds of all present
Considering the Herionidians are quite close to the area, they start to freak out.
(physical description of Okhmus?)

As of recently, we were traveling in the underworld.
”well, I am a demon of black magic, it is my curse I am bestowing, and in addition, I am physically traveling to the mortal world in order to do this, which allows me to curse them myself. Unless you are able to travel with me without being blasted to oblivion by the combined force of the mythos, it would likely be wise if I did it myself. After all, with my domain of black magic, my curses are stronger than any of those you could cast anyways.L
"The underworld. I have heard of it before, but I do not know of its location. Where is it? Then I shall interrogate Crotalus as well as confront Faltros."
"Well, I am the second-oldest Will currently alive. I am next in line to be an Overgod, I believe. But my banishment is a good point. Here." Part of one of his horns sort of sheds, and regrows that parts in seconds. The shedded part falls onto the floor.
What looks closest to purple lightning lashes out at the nomad. They feel some pain, and their arm goes completely numb, then occasionally going into a complete shaking, then back to being numb.

The gates are out in the wastes, away from most anything That has yet been discovered or that has grown. (We should like, make a map and stuff for this world)
”but not yet an Overgod. Arcana is one of my domains, it is a specialty I have more power over than any Will who isn’t also of the same domain.” Aemulus takes the horn in its coils. (Also Aemulus is being literal, its level 3 so it’s the equivalent of level 5 when it comes to arcana related stuff, and if I’m correct Faltros is not an arcana domain god, meaning Aemulus is more powerful in general magic-ey stuff than him)
they yelp and back away, but don’t take their eyes off of the strange magic.

"Well, at least he followed the 'far from civilization' part. What is the exact location?" *That would be cool.*
"A good point. Now go off and do the process."
It might be their imagination going wild in here, but the line seems to be inverting...

"Well, at least he followed the 'far from civilization' part. What is the exact location?" *That would be cool.*
"A good point. Now go off and do the process."
It might be their imagination going wild in here, but the line seems to be inverting...
The eye sucks itself inwards and magic swirls around it. It then quickly expands again and spits out a map which slowly drifts right in front of Cogintius, showing him a map directing him to the underworld’s gates.
”yes… I shall soon disguise myself, so if Cogintius does manage to find his way down here and asks you anything about my disguised form, my name will be Arsendir the flayed god, who was supposedly captured by other underworld gods and taken prisoner inside the lair of a monstrous, bestial snake.” Aemulus slithers off into the shadows and into a cave near the river.
Quickly, they take a papyrus scroll out of their bag and begin sketching… whatever they’re seeing.

He looks up. "Thank you. I shall go there in the morning." *Both in RP and IRL* He picks up the map, opens a portal to a small demiplane, puts it in and the portal closes.
Faltros goes back to waiting.
The papyrus quickly gets torn apart and added to the spiral surrounding the area. The line has definitely inverted, and another line seems to be appearing that is mirroring it.

"Yes. I shall go now." He teleports back to the T.O.M, and begins to rest.
Suddenly, the two curved lines connect into a pointed oval. A line appears down the middle, and it fills with a purple light. They then realize it formed an eye. Suddenly, the nomad's vision goes dark and they fall to the ground. When they wake up, the world around them is an incomprehensible alien realm. The swirl is now much, much bigger, and stems from the ground like a root. The ground itself is a spinning, floating spiral that somehow the nomad isn't spinning on. The eye looks down on them.

Hello! I am a perfectly sane gibberer. Hi! :D
Locations are dead, the Temple of Potassium has fallen but its ideals live on
Aemulus makes its way into a cave beside the underworld river, as it swallows the fragment of Faltros’ horn for later use in the avatar creation curse. Then, it retreats deeper and deeper into its cavern, as it wills numerous spells to protect the entrance, including a large copy of the infinite staircase symbol above the cavern’s mouth. Then, it lies in wait. For an entire hour, it waits, absorbing the heat of the underworld and basking in the darkness instead of the light of day as most snakes do. Now, it’s ready.
it pulls its head back and gently sways body from side to side rhythmically, as the scales on it’s body start to loosen. It’s body shakes and quivers, thrashing in the scales it will soon shed, it’s mouth open and hissing, as it chants horrible spells of it’s own making and the darkness around it swells and shrinks with it’s movements. Then, it rears its head back before falling to the stone of the cave. It’s scales on it’s head begin to peel off and reveal what’s underneath, as it sheds it’s skin it’s not new, replacement scales that grew under the old ones, but instead, human like flesh, a hand. A hand crawls its way out of the minuscule snake’s shedded skin and following it, an arm. Then, the rest of the body, a human seeming creature, with partially translucent flesh where the skeleton is visible, wrapped in grey and black robes. On his chest, is the symbol of Aemulus, the infinite staircase, hidden by bandages and cloth. Long, grey and black hair and clawed fingers, eyes that glow white like hot iron, and many scars on its translucent flesh, looking like bitemarks. Hundreds of them. There, the disguised Aemulus lies in wait, for him to spring his trap.
"The underworld. I have heard of it before, but I do not know of its location. Where is it? Then I shall interrogate Crotalus as well as confront Faltros."

please leave.
"Why? If he has nothing to hide, then me questioning him should not be an issue."
"Interesting. Perhaps I could get my own seperate avatar?"
Occasionally the visions come back into people's eyes, especially the two others leaders. Nothing else seems to happen, though, and the visions only last a few seconds at most before blinking back out."

I do not enjoy other wills in Crotalus and i’s territory when he is not present. Please wait outside the desert until he comes back.
“I would need to think about how that would work, as it is my Curse that allows for the corruption of the soon to be born baby in the first place, and I would actually be present to cast it… but either way, for instilling your essence in the child, I will likely need something of yours for you to have control of it once it’s born. Perhaps part of one of your horns.”
Eventually, one of the nomads gets curious and splits off to investigate back to the area of the Will their self.
“…are you… a god?”
"At the very least, where is he?"
"If you were to tell me the process, I could do it myself."
The curved line quivers, emitting more and more of that strange alien energy.

Quickly, they take a papyrus scroll out of their bag and begin sketching… whatever they’re seeing.

Are you content to leave now? I don’t want the people to think something is wrong.
confused, he just looks up and watches the spiral for a while.
(Aemulus’ transformation scene coming up!)

“What… what are you?!?”
An unintelligible voice whispers in their mind. Somehow, though, they can piece it together. 'I am Somnium.'

“…no… what are you?”
'I shall not tell you, as I must keep your mind fully intact for a brief period of time.'
