They notice a pattern: the two identical vampires are always together and always wait after one kills something for them to eat it, giving them a few more seconds between the time they make a kill. And the older one prefers stealth to the others much more, striking from the side. She also often travels with the twins. The young man and woman are often in the same region and aren’t as active in hunting as the other ones, each killing only around half of what the others do. The final one which entered the den, has recently emerged and is a tall woman with freckles and a kind, bloody smile. Her ginger hair is curly and splattered with blood. When she hunts, she is swift and deadly, and kills more than any of the rest, not even bothering to eat until after everyone she hunts is dead. She uses her shovel like someone else would an axe, slicing at necks and swinging it wildly. She hunts alone.
for the most part, the larger camps are safe from singular or double vampire attacks and are only majorly threatened when more than three attack, and none of that is happening tonight. Some of the people inevitably notice the dragons, curious as to what they are. Some of the vampires seem to at least be aware of a presence in their domain.
The drakes behave similarly to cats or crows, curious and cautious, but not treatening as they perch around the camps, occasionally snapping at little insects, lizards, or mice for sustenance. A few of them occasionally use their powers of minor illusions to create shadowy images against walls or buildings to entertain any children or cheer up those they think need it.
A couple of the pseudodragon would return to upate the Night Mother of what they have seen, before taking off again to continue their recon.

Inevitably, one of the vampires ends up noticing the creatures with their heightened senses. The older woman. She stares at one of the creatures from a nearby tree, snarling.
She freezes, a look of malice and hatred forming on her face.
“So… a spy? Who is this mother you speak of?” It coos In a singsong voice, not at all matching its facial expression.
The drake simply caws and flies off, going "NOPE" in it's mind.
The vampire scowls and heads back to the central tree before the sun rises again. The others do the same, and just before the sun rises they all slink back into their crypt nestled into the twisting roots of the tree. In fact, there are various entrances in the tree’s roots leading to some type of den for them. The sun rises, and there is relative peace in the valley. Or well, less chaos, at least.
The pseudodragons keep to the shade, preferring dark spaces.
Meanwhile, Volumdremaak continues to create more living spaces in her small domain, and plans for future expansion once her power has swelled sufficiently. She thinks of the undead her little scouts have seen. She is familiar with necromancy and undeath, their powers not too dissimilar to the shadow magic she commands. Maybe she can create her own, more benevolent undead to counteract these should they prove to be a threat to her and her Night Walkers.

As the sun gets ready to rise, a figure flies across the sky. The rays of the dawn glisten against platinum scales and reflects off the metallic edges of several swords. Soon the flying being finds what she has been searching for, the shadowed domain of the Night Mother.
"Finally,"the figure mutters in annoyance before landing.
Standing at the edge of Volumdremaak is a massive and regal dragon with brilliant platinum scales, piercing blue eyes, a mane of soft and white feather-like frills, a long and dexterous tail, and sharp metallic spines, horns, and plating that makes the figure appear to be wearing metal armor at all times. She is illuminated by an aura of soft golden light, and surrounding her is a small platoon of magical swords that gently float around her. The light from the aura touches the fringe of the shadowy void, blending into a beautiful cascade of twilight and dawn.
"Do you have any idea how long I have been searching for you?"
The figure hears the familiar, whispering chuckle from within the void as several draconic eyes appear.
"You worry to much, my dear Mephilia."

Volumdremaak would nestle down on her small hoard as some of her followers begin to add new pieces of treasure they have collected from the nearby vicinity, starting the nightly ritual of empowerment through tribute. *How she gets her power points*
"I believe it's time to start learning about the surrounding spaces, I've been hearing whispers from the shadows all around about a lot of activity. But my power is new, and I wish not to risk harm to myself or my young Night Walkers," She says, pondering what she can do.
After a pause, she raises a claw and scoops up a small amount of shadows from the surrounding void, and begins to mold it.

"So you came to protect me then? Such a sweet gesture, dear niece," Volumdremaak teases.
