Cogintius is seeing if the strange appearances stop now that the crows have been evicted.
Faltros is speaking with Nurgul.
Gibber misses having a third line of text.
They have not. There have been less of that wretched infinite staircase symbol popping up everywhere, but there have still been various strange events. Two more murders, three buildings burn down, one more group of cultists have been found in a secret room beneath a bunch of homes, one of the elders has reported the feeling of being watched, and hearing whispers coming from his walls.
He paces one of the T.O.M's floors. "All that is needed is to find Crotalus and confront him. Although if he is in the underworld, I must do it without alerting Faltros. A simple task, but how?" He thinks out loud.
Someone interrupts him. A guard that ran up several staircases to get to Cogintius. In between gasps for air and yelping in pain, he says, “FIRE. BIG FIRE… E-Entertainment district… chaos… cultists…” he pauses. Cogintius realizes he has an arrow in his back.
(This is very fun)
He takes out the arrow in the guard and stabilizes him to make sure he doesn't die. He then teleports to the Entertainment district.
There is a giant fire. A hundred buildings in the middle of the district have been set ablaze, smoke rising in the sky. Civilians run in terror and guards try to calm the situation and douse the fire, Disguised Aemulus/Arsendir is also there, using his godly powers to try and snuff the flames around him and saving civilians. Thirty or so cloaked people, with crossbows and scimitars, are causing chaos and destruction, killing civilians and lighting more buildings on fire. A hundred feet above the chaos, a purple cloak is floating, tattered and ruined, with black tendrils in place of legs and with no arms, a white mask in place of a face, inscribed with the infinite staircase symbol and with a hole revealing a singular glowing white eye in the center. The creature watches the chaos, seemingly unnoticed by the mortals.
He uses his power over Peace and Life to snuff out all of the flames. Containers of divine light fully trap the cloaked attackers, with only one small opening for air. He looks at the creature. "I see you, foul being. Who may you be?"
hate beneath the earth… rises up and strikes… the city falls and burns… nothing left but ashes… I warn. Do you listen?
"Who is the 'Hate beneath the Earth?'" He casts Legend Lore on this title as he speaks.
He can’t learn much about it, either not much is known to anyone in the first place or it’s guarded somehow. But it’s the name of the patron of the cults that have been found, and also it seems to have ties to the underworld. Not Faltros, though.
A giant lumbering metal statue like figure with purple and black corruption in all of it's cracks and spreading all over it like a fungal infection, approaches a place, as it slowly stomps forth. the beast is somewhat a giant anthropomorphic reptile, but similar to a mech, with soulless eyes as well. huge shatters of the earth fly out, and most creatures near it gain strings of corruption, and they have holes melt through them. flesh bits are all over it and around them is a ground made of flesh, a scar in the earth, with exposed ribs and many eyes and writhing tentacles shrieking.
Fodd hears the shrieks and sighs. He sets down a log and heads toward the Beast.
The lumbering beast is at least five hundred feet tall, about that height
He moves his eyepatch, uncovering his gyrfalcon eye. “What… are you?”
The beast does not understand what he says, but looks down
"What?" the beast says in a demonic voice tainted with corruption
“I am Fodd, Father of Sky and Land. What business have you here?”
It lumbers down
"I do not. I no care"
“Then leave. These are my lands. I seek only the company of my birds.”
"That flesh is my domain- It has been for long; and I seek to expand reach of me"
“And where shall you source your flesh?”
"A scar to the earth- spreads as me I lumber my bodies fall flesh"
“Say something that makes sense, or keep your mouth silent.”
*bruv it has 8 INT
"I speak with no need for mouth- mouth is for eating! And tiny beast, you believe you stand the chance against the me!?"
“I command the sky, and my eye can witness… well, it can’t witness anything yet, but it’s still quite Awesome…”
"Wander away tiny beast- command the sky to get you away from me! This is my domain and I will take your birds if you leave them here to peck me"
A group of covered wagons are traveling through the unclaimed wastes, manned by mortals with infernal and celestial blood. Inside these wagons are the bodies of the recently, and not so recently, deceased of other races.

The creature that will swallow the world in darkness once the city burns…
he learns about the crown of Slaughter and Crotalus and how they met. In addition, he feels a connection between Crotalus and the underworld, though not the title specifically and he isn’t sure what the connection is about, as it is weak.
A group of covered wagons are traveling through the unclaimed wastes, manned by mortals with infernal and celestial blood. Inside these wagons are the bodies of the recently, and not so recently, deceased of other races.
The Gravediggers hide away, safe in their crypt, guarded by the many enormous roots of the sacred tree.
“Light the tree on fire!” Savut commands the Herionidians.
Some of them grab torches and light them, charging towards the tree. Most of them don’t make it very close, caught in its branches or vines, but a few of them manage to light some of the roots and branches on fire. The wood doesn’t burn well, but it does burn, and it starts to damage the tree.
Savut draws out her glaive and swings at the Tree, expending 1000 power points. 59
Her glaive cuts straight through the roots, and the tree stills, severely damaged and withdrawing from fighting back. It’s nearly dead.
the crypt is open and available to venture into.
“Go forth and attack!” Savut enters, gathering the stars around her and before her host of fighters.
Herionidians flood into the tiny entrance in the earth, single file as otherwise they wouldn’t be able to fit. A dark mass moves in the crypt’s main chamber, though nobody is close enough to see what it is.
Savut sends forth the stars to illuminate the mass.
The first few Heriondians in the line scream as they see what’s illuminated- Roaches. Thousands and thousands of them. They pour forth out of the crypt, and the giant swarm seeks to take flight, away from the battle as fast as they possibly can.
Savut seems mildly intrigued by the creatures, but continues on, slightly slower.
She makes her way to the main chamber of the crypt: six coffins made of stone and wood on the floor of the crypt, and ten feet in front of them on a raised platform is a cherry wood coffin, simple but beautifully crafted: the resting place of Herionidus. All of them are empty, roaches crawling out of the six stone coffins.
(the vampires have been here for a while, they may have gotten old enough to unlock some of their powers…)
the roaches are in the sky of the valley, heading for the cliffs.
“Hmm… this is a very sacred place. Step lightly. Have any of you been here before, or has the Tree always guarded Herionidius’s resting place?”
“Until his death, this place was blocked off while he was buried during the day. Then when he died, it was unsealed and the tree started defending it… the tree never moved before until he died, and then nobody ever dared to go here…” one of them says.
*doggone it i missed this*
“I see. Stay on your guard.” Savut presses on into the crypt.

Three passages are available from the main crypt: two on the sides of the room and one on the far side of the room, behind Herionidus’ coffin. Savut can see that the third corridor contains some sort of large shrine in the center of the room it leads to, though not much else can be seen.
