"Alright then! Is there any work you would like me to do? And also where do we sleep?"
“Nah, no work. Just rest. We have a busy few days ahead of us. And we sleep belowdecks. You’ll have your own room.”
"Ok! Thank you! I'll go put my stuff in my room. Also, I've heard talk of a Kraken lair?"
“Aye, another fight on the horizon. Best talk to Normiah about that.”
"I will! And thank you again!" Caldin goes and puts his sack and book in his room, then comes back up and walks to Jack. "Am I needed above deck?"
"I think that all we can risk is members of the crew and people who have certain abilities or magics that can affect the coming torrent. Do you have any magic like that?" He has a hopeful glint in his eye.

Normiah begins explaining to the crew. "Now, this will be a dangerous expedition. The kraken is much stronger in its lair then out in the open ocean, and along with that there is environmental hazards as well. First off, the storms. The kraken can change the weather at will, but most of the time it chooses raging thunderstorms. The only good thing about them is that they tell us the border of the lair-- right there. (He points to the oncoming storm) It rages for 10 miles until we get to the center of the lair, where the kraken dwells."
He points to the ocean. "Second, stay on the ship. Almost all of the creatures around the lair are under the Beast's command and will attack. Not to mention the water elementals.
And once we do get to the kraken's lair... It's gonna be quiet a battle."

"Oh. Well. See here. I mainly specialize in the destructive forces... and I don't have anything to calm it, but I can cast a gale to fill the sail, or send a force to push the ship, if that could help."

*Howdy, I'm back. Did that trash thing ever get resolved?*
The door to the Barnacle swings open. A huge white pelican with an orange beak and pouch stands in the doorway and surveys the room. The massive bird looks like it could swallow a small child. It waddles in, feathers rustling, flippered feet slapping the deck, and throat patch waggling. With a flap of its great wings it hops up onto a bar stool and waits to be served.
