Hi there! My name's Elk. I'm NoiSilverheart's doppelgänger. I'm a demi/grayromantic, socially awkward Okie who may or may not be a pyromaniac. *random confetti blast*
I'm a warlock of the Archcrone, and my patron is TheFriendlyArchfey. I was nicknamed AchatesCervus8337 by VitusW and given the titles "Swashbuckling Scorcher", "The Unpredictable Jedi", "Burning Fury of the Ancients", and "Combustion Knight" by DrummerBoyDragonSlayer.
Yo what's up guys, I've had an epic thread idea and would like some feedback to see if anybody would play in it:
You Are What You Eat
In this world, life and society is barely blossoming, the land still young and fresh as the people upon the earth discover the powers that nature provides. Here, when a creature eats another living thing, for a short amount of time, they gain some traits and powers from that thing, such as gills from a fish, the longevity of a tree or the scales from a lizard. These powers only last for about a day though, before they taper off as the digestive system dissolves the ability, so most diets are strict and structured, built to get the most valuable abilities out of every meal, a constant experiment of testing new foods to try and discover their affects and grow in strength. Some small like-minded enclaves choose a food and stick to it, allowing the powers of their chosen dish to become like second nature, whilst other nomadic groups are constantly wandering, shifting their strengths as they adapt to the food of new lands and cultures, in a constant chronicled journey of discovery. However, recently, a darkness has spread across the tranquil balance of the world, as twisted warriors discover the strengths of cannibalism; through the consumption of another person, you gain all the powers they had, and so some dark warlords keep men alive to feed on the finest and most exotic foods, only to chop off a finger, toe or eyeball at the end of each day to gain the powers whilst only consuming a morsel.
So, in this fantasy early-medieval thread, you can play as one of the three factions: A dedicated tribe to a specific food, gaining stronger powers from the one dish they rely on (such as a Cow Tribe, who are like minotaurs, or a Fish Tribe, who are like fishmen from One Piece), a nomadic traveller who is constantly adapting their powers and dabbling in what the world has to offer, or an evil cannibal-conqueror, powered by the flesh of the captives they claim.

Seems cool, though I wouldn't personally rp there (talk of cannibalism makes me uncomfortable) though I can think of a person who would love that kind of thread

O sorrow, I have ended, you see, by respecting you, because I am certain you will never leave me.
Ah! I realize it: your beauty lies in the force of your being. You are like those who never left the sad fireside corner of my poor black heart.
O my sorrow, you are better than a well-beloved: because I know that on the day of my final agony, you will be there, lying in my sheets, O sorrow, so that you might once again attempt to enter my heart.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).

It's silly, but still irritating. We were playing Jeopardy, and when we answered a question with a synonym of the answer, our teacher said it was wrong. twice. Then she gave us a question that was worded just plain wrong, and having the answer be something you wouldn't come to such a conclusion if you can perform basic reasoning. And then she gave another team the correct answer when they gave a different word than the answer, that is just wrong. Not even a synonym

Trash Teacher. Although that would be accurate to actual Jeopardy. It is what it is.
Thanks for all the feedback guys, nice to hear that people would play on it if they could, though as for Himy and the canabalism, I totally get that and understand 100%, it's defo an uncomfortable topic but I'm somehow cursed to always make threads with dark elements that kinda turn people away lol, just look at San Fuerza with all the terrorism and now the 'experimenting on children' arc (I think it's kinda died now though, so maybe I won't have to get into that)
For the bean question, having a bean would probably just give you a generic plant ability like photosynthesis, enhanced growth or something like that, but if you sustained yourself on nearly entirely beans then yeah, you'd pretty much become one. Also there aren't any monsters, just regular animals and plants, but they'd definitely get farmed for those purposes anyway.

Actually, real Jeopardy counts synonyms and regional variants for words. If it is counted as wrong, it is normally revised. And according to her, the moon is a planet, and meteors are the same as meteorites

The meteor and meteorite thing makes sense. Moons by their very definition are not planets lol

uh, I thought meteorites were small pieces broken off the meteors, and seriously the moon a planet?
meteors are space rocks that burn up in the atmosphere and meteorites are the ones that make impact on the surface
