The dao was a well-meaning modern facility for teens with powers. This would be a bit more... gritty. I'm thinking a dark sci-fi city where there's a big dichotomy between this corporation and the ones who rebel from its hold. That or a city with facilities that were designed to improve humanity but only led to creatures of pain. First, the ones that can't think, twisted amalgamations of metal and meat. Then came the sentient ones, cursed with their sentience.

Would anyone here be interested in playing on a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi thread where all humans have been wiped out, and your character is a sentient humanoid robot with no concept of what humanity was, but trying to live as one? It could be deep or humorous, I don't mind, I just liked the idea of AI becoming sentient and trying to blend into humanity, but ends up doing it wayyyy to late and has to kind of wing it, effectively trying to take over the world 'like humanity did' with no idea of what made humans human.
