As you make it back to the city after another few hours of walking, you quickly notice that power is out in most places. A few back-up generators are operational in places but overall, things are pretty dark. Most people are nervously discussing the events in the streets, and you notice that there are newspapers being handed out for free. a headline newspaper article reads 'Powerplant Explodes In Terror Attack: 4 Presumed Dead, 1 Survivor' You're surprised how an article could be produced in only a few hours, but out of curiosity you pick up a paper and read '....an emergency alert was sent out just after 2 o'clock from a guard's radio, though when emergency services got nearer to the scene, they realised it was too late. Due to the security of the facility, it was soon assumed to be a terror attack, though soon after this, one of the guards, Mr. Harvey Kaznalski, the man who had sent out the emergency signal, miraculously appeared back at his accommodation in T-Block and confirmed this suspicion. Whilst he received medical treatment, he informed press that the terrorist squad had entered via a teleporter, and gave the guards a choice to either be teleported to safety or defend their post before the explosion. Kaznalski claims 'I was the only one to back down from duty. The others all valiantly died for their cause, and although I cowardly chose to escape, it is now my responsibility to spread the word so justice can be served.' The description of the teleporter given was a woman in her late 50s, and officials have identified Miranda Osaka, 56, as a possible suspect due to her teleportation capabilities. She is currently in custody undergoing questioning. The fallen guards have been identified as Arnold Cashlent, Wyatt Gylus, Lenny Wilmot and Enrico Matahad, and we give our greatest condolences to all their families and wish for swift justice to be served, although it may never replace their loss.'
Cal mutters to himself “Well I can’t go back home now. It’s gonna to be wayyyy to suspicious if a literal walking calamity happens to not have been where he should have when a power plant was destroyed.”

Yo, I'm Himy (He/him) not as active as I use to be, but I'm here from time to time. I don't got much else to say.
"From the stars of the inner sea, from the tower of insight, from the four corners of paradise, let them know; their story is filled with blessings. Only those free of sin may pass... Garden of Avalon!”
”The elements coalesce, amalgamate, and bring forth the star that interweaves all creation. Bow down with death! Enuma Elish!”
Way up in his ivory tower, a man reads the news from a fluffy red chair in a dark room. "Hmmm... Terrorists. There's going to be a lot of carnage. Bad for business. I wonder how many monsters we can afford to send out?" he murmurs, checking the business articles.

As soon as they are teleported back to the city, Charles heads back to his lab and rebuilds his combat bot. He adds a second battery and hooks it to either side of the drum, which will superheat the drum, adding (I hope) 2d4 fire damage to each hit.
[Yeah that sounds fine, also I should say that you get a 'level up' for completing that encounter. Basically, the way this will work is that you can get a number of bonuses on top of your Commoner Stats, and it's basically you just going from Commoners to Guards with a bit of customisation.
1. Increase your hit dice by one. You now have 2d8 hit points. 2. Your stats all increase, and you now have an array of 13, 12, 12, 10, 11 and 10 to spread to whatever stats you choose, with any power-related changes applied. 3. You gain 1 Skill proficiency. Your Proficiency Bonus is still +2.
Level ups will be different each time and I'll detail how they work each time, but you'll be progressing through the NPC stats though basically]

*I'm so excited! Is it okay if I have another, mostly unaltered guard (no shield) as a sort of minion? I was thinking my character would have monsters (upgraded people, kinda like Nomus from MHA if they were on payroll instead of under mind control), but I don't want them to be so strong that they just instantly obliterate every other character or something.*

Would Tod get this? Or no. Probably the hit points, like in reality he'd have an insane amount of hp since he's always taking hits and such. Just never dies, thanks to his odd luck.
Maybe like death throw save stuff? Maybe critical stuff? I'm just trying to think of what would fit for him thematically

Henri immediately goes to the local hospital, even though he’s feeling very weak himself he has the drive to go visit his mom and sister.
Within a car mechanic shop is Athen Yeager, who is currently is his work clothes, his body strong as he works on the car, turning the rust back to iron with his alchemy abilities as he just tried to do his job, his prosthetic metal arm working with the other like a well oiled machine.
The party successfully escapes the powerplant before it explodes (Tod is luckily just out of range and Alan probably can survive out of some sort of quirk with his power) and they have now ended up teleported into a woodland park area somewhere within the city, which wasn't what Henri anticipated but the best he could do with such fatigue. Aiming in general at the city area seems to have slimmed the chances of ending up somewhere completely random, considering it was such a large area. The air is crisp as evening approaches and Arnold sighs, looking down at Harvey and murmuring 'Well, what now? That's our job gone...eventually they'll find us and question us, then probably lock us up, but maybe we can pretend that we died in the explosion? The signal you sent could have been for the meltdown and now we can lay low for a while before escaping out north! You said you had family in Oregon and-'
Harvey yells 'NO! I've had enough! Let go off me!' Arnold is shocked but lays him down next to a tree. He keeps shouting, saying 'No more of your stupid charades, we're not going anywhere! I'm going back home, and getting some medical help, then I'm reporting everything! I would have happily died defending that plant like I was supposed to, but you had to go and have a heart!' His face twists at that last part as he realise how bad it sounds. He manages to steady himself on the tree, and suddenly a branch comes shattering off as he grips the bark a bit too hard. He props himself up on the shattered stick like a crutch and says a bit calmer 'I don't give a [GP] who these idiot freedom fighters are or why they've decided to blow up the plant. I just want to go home.' He slowly starts to walk off, each step appearing like agony, when he looks over to Tam. He studies his face for a second, despite it mainly being hid under the hood, and looks as if he's about to say something before he stops himself and continues off, disappearing into the mist.
*wait Tam covered his face with a portal for this exact reason*
*meh, whatever*

He takes out a little business card with a phone number on it. "Next time you get a suspiciously good deal, try calling this number." He begins to walk back to his car. "Take care now!"
