 Khass instantly draws his bow and Maja yelps, nearly falling over. Maja calms down upon seeing who it is, taking a deep breath - they whisper something to Khass and he sets his crossbow down. Khass speaks first, confusion on his face. “Wha- what? What does.. boo mean?”

Maja nods a greeting and smiles with a hint of embarrassment. “Ah. Sorry Arthur.. you startled me.” They run a hand through their fur to smooth it. “Did you need something?”

 *Khass is a tall, satyr like humanoid though instead of hooves, he simply walks on his toes (imagine a barbie doll). His legs are strapped with thick leather boots, dyed black and woolen on the inside. His overshirt is more loose, with a large dappled cloak covering most of his shoulders and back, tied together at the front with a simple gold string. His face has a few, antelope-like markings almost, and he wears khol makeup around the eyes. Khass’s jet black hair falls in two neat braids, the front strands curling at his forehead. His eyes are a piercing silver, ibex horns sprouting from his forehead and decorated simply with brass. He’s carrying a crossbow and a hookspear-like polearm, with a hunting knife in a sheath.*

*Maja is a centaur-like creature with the lower half of a blueish snow leopard, covered in serrated spots and wearing a couple of embroidered blankets. Bones hang in a small jar from both Maja and Khass’s belt. Maja looks almost completely androgynous, their face having an almost cat-like nose and one of their eyes covered by a white strip of cloth. Their hand is also braided, long and black that runs down one shoulder. They hold what looks to be a sort of shepherd’s staff mixed with a scythe, prayer beads hanging from it.*
