Yo, I'm Himy (He/him) not as active as I use to be, but I'm here from time to time. I don't got much else to say.
"From the stars of the inner sea, from the tower of insight, from the four corners of paradise, let them know; their story is filled with blessings. Only those free of sin may pass... Garden of Avalon!โ
โThe elements coalesce, amalgamate, and bring forth the star that interweaves all creation. Bow down with death! Enuma Elish!โ
The Aquagloria are an ancient race of trading Merfolk, who believe they are favoured by Posiedon. (Yes, this is based off of ancient Greek gods whilst the naming is based off of Latin. No, I donโt care.) Their Capital, Atlantis Neron, (and only settlement), while still being relatively small (as they tend to travel often), is said to contain vaults of riches vaster than the tides and deeper than the seas. They love and care for the oceans they reside in, and if you disrespect their home, you will regret it. Eventually, all things lost to the waves flow into their keep. They have hopes of one day ruling the oceans like they have before.
They are located in the middle of the Alupela Sea, living in their underwater kingdom.

"You say mountains that shift and change? This world is full of wonders..." He thinks about what you've said. "There are very many other things I'd like to learn about your world, but I fear I'd be wasting both our time if I interrogated you on matters that struck my own personal curiosity. So tell me, do you mine these mountains you live under?"
โWasting time? Nonsense. I came here to know you and your city.โ He says genuinely with a quiet smile. โI was hoping for friendship. As for our mining, we mostly head into the nearby ravines - theyโre much easier to navigate than the mountain and have much less wildlife.โ
He nods, though he seems somewhat disappointed, "I see. My people are shepherds and farmers and... they are very superstitious about going underground. I believe the mining industry would strengthen my country but we lack the tools, knowledge, or experience to do so. And even if we did... again, my people are very superstitious about the underground." He pauses for a moment to consider something, "Do you believe you would be able to provide our country with the knowledge and resources to begin to delve into the earth?"
โAround here? I would be willing to try my best, though Iโm unfamiliar with the terrain.โ He tilts his head. โWhat is superstitious about heading underground?โ
"Only if you believe it's possible. And you would be rewarded for your efforts of course." He sighs and stares up at the ceiling for a minute, "When we die, our bodies are taken for out into the Fields of Falanenon, and left there. We do not bury our dead like others do. Then the Angel-Buzzards find our bodies and they strip the meat off our bones in order to find our souls which they then carry with them back into the heavens. If you die underground, then your soul will be trapped in the dark under the earth for there will be no Angel-Buzzards to carry you to heaven. This fear will keep my people from working the mines for if you die underground, you're damned." As he says that last part he gives a strange sort of smile, "This is a major difficulty, but I believe I could find a way."
*Yeah, I've been really impressed by everybody's lore and writing. Its been pretty sweet to read through.*
*That's super cool. I've been doing the same. Hoeb needs to interact with Vallereine soon.*
*another cool, smaller detail is that everyoneโs nations all seem unique, thanks to a lot of details along with their descriptions, like the buildings and government. I think Vallereine is the only aristocracy (though there might be one more) and then we have a republic, an autocracy, and multiple theocracies, itโs awesome.*
*if you have time, why not start that right now?*
while Hoeb isnโt particularly close to the Tsaritsa, in their effort to explore the surrounding lands, Vallereine sent a small caravan by boat down towards the delta of the Tsaritsa. They departed from the river a bit before the delta, traveling southward into the territory of Hoeb. Among them are several mules, four guards, and a Caterinnian bard. They are carrying with them food and water, as well as numerous goods, including small sculptures made of silver, depicting past lords of Caterinna or mythical animals of legend.
*I've got an aristocracy with Hoeb but yes, they are all remarkably unique which is super great. I actually have to leave now but I can start and continue it later.*
The caravan soon stumbles upon Hoeb. There they find a land with an open sky. A land that has wide, dusty plains and steep but short hills. Few trees grow in this terrain and the people who live here seem to be shepherds and farmers. The people here love your stories and you notice that they copy the imagery of some of your legends in their exquisite rugs. Possibly the strangest of all though is the ruler, a man called Tayr Siyef, but his people often call him the Underborn. You hear rumors that he is a giant that has returned from the dead and his people seem to regard him with a sort of awe.
And then, you receive a messenger from the Tayr's court. A royal invitation to come before the king himself and represent your people.
The bard, a woman named Charlotte, seems overjoyed at being invited to the kingโs court. As soon as they can, the bard and her following of guards makes their way to the palace, bringing one of the mules, with the silver trinkets, along with them.
You are led to the city of Hoeb and through the bazaar before entering the gates of the keep. You find yourself brought quickly to the hall of the Tayr himself. Before you enter in, a man who appears to be a herald asks you how he should introduce you and your company.
