Rhagoan has withdrawn somewhat, its emissaries only departing for quick trade before politely excusing themselves to head back down the way they came. These traders are armed more significantly than normal - they wear scale and metal infused armors with at least three weapons at all times, even their mounts always equipped with barding. They seem nervous, though this doesn’t dampen their friendly demeanor. Rumors of a third settlement being formed closer to the jungle gloat around, though these traders seem quick to shut up when asked directly. 

Khassahn himself seems to have not been seen outside of Rhagoan as of late. The town has lessened its visitors, turning away people at the gate - not out of malice, but some vague reasons along the lines of “We’re currently preparing for a blizzard” or “Our houses are currently full and can fit no more”. Even Maja is rarely seen - when they are, they seem to almost always be alone, praying and clutching a wishbone like a lifeline.

 *he kinda teleports, but he can apper on top of a mountain. lemme intro him*

all but one of the giant trade ships has returned to Urat. this one, the last ship has been stuck in the middle of the ocean with no wind. the doldrums. a particularly ferocious shark recently attacked, its bites rending flesh and mind alike. it killed all but one giant. and now they're all alone, waiting for supplies to run out, waiting to succumb to their wounds. then they hear a voice, speaking in perfect giantish, no less.

"HELLO there fellow merchant!"

the giant whirls to face.... another giant, sitting behind a market stall that reads 'the Wise Man's trading post'. giants never stop growing, it just slows down as they age. this other giant is estimated at around 280-290 years old, with a medium length beard and silver hair.

"where did you come from? who are you?"

"I came from another place, and my name is the Wise Man. you look like you could use some help."

"I guess that's true, but what can you do? can you order the wind? control the waves?"

the Wise Man smiles. "what about a deal? merchent to merchent. I help you out, and somewhere down the line, you help me out!"

"that sounds like a Desuak is disguise if anything does"

"you don't really have a better option. unless you wait for the fish to come back. it wont, by the way."

"how do you know that?"

"maybe I am a Desuak. again, you don't have a better option than dealing with me"

"fine. get me out of here"

the Wise Man grins even wider, and becons the giant to his stall "take your pick!"

the giant takes a trinket from the stall, and disappears, as does the Wise Man and his stall, leaving the ship empty, drifting.
