An exhausted looking traveler clops into town on horseback, their face set in a firm frown. The rider is on the taller side, with a shawl and cloak obscuring most of their features but not enough to cover the burnished plate armor that covers their body. The interlocking plates resemble scales, thick and flexible as they make soft clinking noises against eachother while the horse trots. Its a beautiful silver tone with ash gray and gilded scarlet highlights, their gauntlets similarly fashioned but with leather padding and reinforced knuckles. The rider’s face is humanoid, with white markings that resemble constellations scattered across their cheeks in a shooting star pattern, their feathery black hair falling in short braids that frame their face. The knight has pale eyes and white lashes, two crossed scars marring their otherwise unblemished face. Sitting at their side are two short swords, a heavy crossbow slung across their back.
The steed its mounted on is horse-like but massive, around the size of a tall clydesdale. Its fur is short but thick, with a furred mane like a lion’s and a shorter tail. Its hooves are cloven and reinforced with metal, the horse itself wearing ashen barding. Its eyes reflect a sort of malevolent intelligence, as the rider tiredly guides it in search of a nearby inn.
