*hey so i was wondering, it says on page 1 "At level 1, you choose a Pokemon that cannot be evolved, unless they are the evolution of a baby Pokemon" but then below it says: 3 Stage Pokemon (Charizard): Level 6 evolution, Level 12 evolution, so what is it? do we choose a pokemon that can evolve or not? im just confused*

It means an unevolved Pokemon, like Charmander in the Charizard example. When it says an evolution of a baby Pokemon, it’s like if you want to play a Pikachu but don’t want to play a Pichu.

[I think we replaced the 'Pokemon toughed it out' mechanic with HP. If not, then it's both. Charisma times 10 + level + half of charisma rounded down. Also you roll d12 for unevolved stats.]
