Hogwarts Everlasting - A Harry Potter Tavern!

Everyone is welcome here, regardless of who you are! Unless you break one of the rules below:

- Nothing 18+ or inappropriate. At any time. 

- No being deliberately mean to others at any point, in or out of character 

- No godmodding whatsoever.

- Avoid topics such as self-harm or su!c!de as it can be upsetting to people. If you do include it, make sure to put a trigger warning in your post beforehand.

- Keep quote chains down to help our friends on mobile.

- When speaking out of character, surround it with asterisks like *this* 

- You can argue, but if it gets too serious, I or another mod will step in. 

 - Include the word “magical” in your first post to show that you’ve read the rules. 

Hogwarts is set in the Scottish Highlands and is well known for all the various locations mentioned in the books by J.K. Rowling. This variation is set in the 1940s, after the end of the 2nd world war, 50 years after the events in Hogwarts Legacy and 50 years before the events in the main book series. The current headmaster is Armando Dippet.  Here are some of the few locations that I’ll mention:

The Castle: This is the main castle of Hogwarts itself, with shifting stairways, various clanking suits of armour, magical fountains, and Peeves. Of course there’s Peeves. Classes will begin a little while after arrival.

Hogsmeade: “The only all Wizard village in Britain!” As the name suggests, there’s plenty to do here, such as visiting Zonko’s joke shop, buying candy in Honeydukes, or settling down for a nice warm butterbeer in the Three Broomsticks.

The Scottish Highlands: The main location in which Harry Potter is set! There’s plenty to explore here, from the misty regions of Feldcroft, to the lakes down in Hogwarts Valley, to the hamlets such as Irondale and Aranshire tucked away in the hills of the Scottish moors. 

The Forbidden Forest: This area is off-limits to students, and for good reason. It's said that untold numbers of evil beasties lurk in there, and it’s easy to get lost and never find your way out again. That being said, there’s plenty of treasure likely to be found there...

Peeves: A mischievous poltergeist 

Nearly-Headless Nick: Gryffindor ghost 

The Grey Lady: Ravenclaw ghost 

The Fat Friar: Hufflepuff ghost 

The Bloody Baron: Slytherin ghost  

When you create your character, there’s a few prerequisites:

- You may only play as a human. If you ask really nicely and give some good reasons, I will let you be a metamorphmagus. 

- You must pick one of the following classes: 

- Sorcerer

- Warlock

- Wizard

- Artificer

- Bard 

- Or cleric.

- Characters must start at level 5. If you want to level up, you can complete tasks and other assignments. Max level is 20. 

- Go wild on your appearance, but please keep the rules in mind. 

- You start as a 5th year student, or a 15 year old.

- Pick whichever house you want! You can be in any of the four. You can hang out with members of other houses, but you’ll be spending more time with members of your own house.  

-  You start with 3 potions of healing (wiggenweld potions). Potions and plants can be added as you take classes and complete assignments. 

- You don’t start with any other magic items, besides a wand.

 - Polymorph = Transformation 

- Accio, Depulso, Descendo, Flipendo: Homebrew, will need to work on. 

- Burning Hands = Incendio 

- Scorching Ray = Confringo 

- Fireball = Bombarda 

- Diffindo, Expelliarmus: Homebrew, will need to work on. 

-  Mending = Reparo 

- Light = Lumos 

- Dispel Magic = Finite Incantum 

-  Knock = Alohomora 

- Wingardium Leviosa = Homebrew 

- Pass Without Trace = Disillusionment Charm 

-  Flesh to Stone = Petrificus Totalus 

- Otto’s Irresistible Dance = Talantelegra 

- Dominate Person = Imperio 

-  Power Word Pain = Crucio 

- Power Word Kill = Avada Kedavra.
