Greetings Traveler's! I am told to be one of the most charismatic players to have played D&D, I assume that means I get good Charisma rolls. My main characters are Diego Luna, the human bard, Nevari the Cold, the Teifling sorcerer, and Amadran the Drinker, a dwarf barbarian. I am still new to D&D, as I only joined in 5th ed in 2021. I love to play fps, especially Doom Eternal. I also like D&D related games, such as Diablo, (Diablo 3 ultimate evil edition if you are wondering), and so much more stuff. My home brew setting is the continent Imalia on the world Ottalon. It supports all time eras, and has some new rolls, it supports my Crusaders of the North Trilogy, and my MAYHAM Chronicles. My favourite show is the Mandalorian, and I am very excited, for Honour Amongst Thieves. Metal dice are totally worth the price.

Hello. I'm an Irish/German teen who's recently gotten into D&D. I'm currently playing a halfling bard in my friend's post-apocalyptic homebrew campaign. It's our first successful campaign and it's really fun so far! I'm currently planning a homebrew campaign which will take D&D back to it's weird fiction and sword and sorcery roots. I love roleplaying charismatic, intelligent characters and am usually the only good aligned player in gang of chaotic-neutral scoundrels. I love trying to negotiate and trick enemies and come up with creative (read: explosive) solutions for problems. So far in my campaign I have blown up: a tank, a dragon, a weed mine (my DM is crazy) and another tank.
I am a thirty-seven year old man living in a bunker because I know that any day now the martians shall attack because I owe them money. I survive off canned sausages, mealworms, and potatoes. I very much dislike potatoes, but since my bunker is dug under a potato farm, it is one of the only things available. I am currently trying to locate the whereabouts of Elvis to prove that he never died. I wear my coat and hat backwards in order to never be beguiled by fey trickery, and see brooms as an omen of Death. That is why I have placed several flamethrowers set up in easy to access locations in my bunker, in order to torch any fool who tries to curse me with a broom. Also my floors are really gritty. My only friends are the spirit of a dead python, a gerbil who I am starting to think might not exist, the last specimen of a Galapagos tortoise named Gary, two leopard geckos, one dislikes me, the other tolerates me enough to use me as a bathroom, and a left handed glove named Leftinius. I DM for this group every Friday the 13th, but they are all murderhoboes and would love it if a person who actually knows how to roleplay would tunnel into my shelter.
Hi I'm Stertle09 I'm a Christian, a first time DM, and a D&D newcomer. I am currently working on homebrew campaign to run with my friends. It is minecraft themed but in a very fantasy esc way.

"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen" - 1 Timothy 1:17
i'm Ken, 71y/o been playing since summer of 74. I was a Marine stationed at nerd central for military(ft Meade MD) when i was introduced to the game. The DM ran a Monty hall dungeon and it was a murder dungeon, you went in and didn't come out. since then played off and on whenever i could find a group.
favorite character i like to play is a elf rouge swashbuckler and that's because growing up i liked watching the old swashbuckler movies. currently in 2 games, a weekly game at friends house and a monthly game at the local library
Hi, I'm Neal, I'm 53 and in the north Metro Detroit area.
I'm looking for in-person game, but would also play online.
It has to be chill.
I used to be a little serious about D&D but it has been a long time and I have zero interest in playing with folks who have the time or inclination to use their character or DMing to show off their ability to min-max and break an RPG rule book--I experienced this with some 3.5e and Pathfinder games and a couple of other RPG worlds.
It's cool if that's what you are into, but it's not for me. There is a game in the Troy area that seems like a great group, but they were way, way, way too serious for me. I just want a chill group of collaborative story creation and character development with witty and reasonably engaged people having fun with their brains.
For some reason I've had a hankering to run a sort of epic 2e campaign (like 1st to 18th), I don't know why. Just a few old modules I played as a kid started coming to mind this Winter. I could see doing it with some sort of accelerated rules--because 2e has some serious limitations--or doing it as a sort of experiment in producing a new sort of homebrew rules.
I'm in Utica, any interest?
I've never played 5e, so I'm only up for playing that.
Here is my thing about the new d20 based systems: It used to be that roles for activities were sometimes percentage-based (2d10), right? So that means there where situations in which 1in100 possible degrees of chance, which feels way more random than the 5 in 100 of the d20. Further, you can make the mathematical 'contours' of probability something other than 5% increments. Pickpocket at 67% chance of success vs d20>12-13, aka (13 or 14 ) 65% or 70% chance of success.
The rounding of the d20 (no pun intended), creates a feeling of less randomness, less probability variation/flavor.
Hey, I'm a 14 year old Homebrew DM who got started with With D&D bout' 2 years ago, and have been running a campaign entirely written by me for the greater part of the past 4 months.
Ive been getting a lot of help learning the ropes, but could someone help me with the gold system, i was never taught how to use it, so i had made my own currency (which was confusing)
not me but my character, a hill-dwarf bard (super proud of her)

As a young child, I was put up for sale many times by Three Claws, a slave trade. My sector consisted of me and many other children of many races in an old repurposed army barracks. We were all made to be blank slates: shorn hair, the same clothes, brands of your number, and three claws, so it never mattered which one you bought. The buyers only cared about size, species, and maybe gender. There was a running list of maybe 15 kids, the ones they would display, and they’d replace the sold ones. If you were returned, you would oust your replacement and go back on the list. I was on the list most of the time I was there. I was also returned 99 times from the age of 6 to 13. It was always the same story: Sold, Worked, returned for one reason or another, beaten, shorn again, and put back on the list. 99 TIMES. However, sale 100 was different. A woman passed by the night sale and took pity on me, Probably because I had lost the hopeful spark the others still had. Hope that you might get sold out to kind people and given a life. She bought me, number 2471. I fiddled with the necklace I had made with a needle, tunic string, and various things I found while I was sold. I reminded myself to add a 100th bead when I returned. She took me to a modest home halfway up a hill and surprised me right off the bat. She told me to make myself at home. Cautiously I went to the corner and fell asleep, not too deep in case any demands were made in the night. I woke with a blanket on top of me, late into the morning. I quickly arose and folded the blanket, hoping that if I clean the house, when she returns she wouldn’t be mad at me for sleeping late. When she came back in the late afternoon, I was not yet finished, and I apologized profusely for not being done. She gave me a puzzled look and said “You didn’t…”
And trailed off, going upstairs. It was her disposition that confused me the most. She treated me as one would treat a rescued, distrusting animal: with patience. She gave me a bed, a new tunic, and a name, something I had never known. She would never introduce me as a slave or servant, only by Carina. She taught me how to make instruments and play them, to forage, fish, attract and pet wild rabbits, and many more things. As time went on we got closer but I always feared I would mess up and be whisked away to how things used to be. One afternoon, I was up the hill picking lavender when Miss Eliza came up to join me. We talked about the clouds and the city below. I bent down to pick up another stem and was caught off balance by the wind. I fell into Miss Eliza, sending us both tumbling down the hill. When we stopped, a very dirty miss Eliza clutched her now-swollen wrist. I ran inside, flooded with guilt, shame, and the reality that all of this ended here. I went to the bathroom, found the scissors, and cut off what little hair had grown in our 6-month company. Afterward, I cleaned the bathroom and sat outside in the grass, mentally bracing myself for the old life to return. At night she came back from town, wrist splinted. When she saw me she ran to my side and sat next to me. She said “You didn’t have to do any of this. I’m never returning you, no matter what you do” That is when I knew I could trust her. Now, four months later, I’ve joined her trade and I’m still learning things. But now I’m proud to have her call me “daughter” The final bead, a tiny brass violin, marks that the string, all my returns and failures is done.

Hello there I am a 14 y m and my brother got me into this and I have multiple characters which I have not been able to use yet and some of my favorites are a 95 y old man who is blind and a barbarian soldier with high intimidation named Melvin and another simply named Christopher who is a chaotic good warlock who brings chaos wherever he goes
Hi, I'm 41 years old, Monk class. Start my first campaign ever, on Monday. with my therapist as part of our sessions. Anymore late in life players here?
I am a 16 year old who’s parents brought them into the game. I mainly class rouges or fighters, I’m basic. I hope to play into my adult years as I am currently preparing for college. I just wish I can find a group wherever I decide to go.
Hello….My name is Kieth…..and I have been secretly been playing D&D away from my main group with two other groups. I can’t stop myself I just love being able to get together with the groups and lose myself in a campaign.
OK OK. Enough fooling around. Well I am Kieth but I’ve been absent from gaming for Thirty years. I’m just getting back into the swing of things and knocking the dust off my Imagination. I have no main group per se, but they are all old friends. So who knows I might bump into you somewhere around the interweb gaming circles.
looking for a game, prefer a campaign, D&D and Traveller are on the top of my preferences. I started playing in the late 1970's. My current schedule leaves Tuesday and Wednesday evenings open as well as Mondays. I am somewhat of a computer geek who prefers to avoid Windows.
I don't need to talk about myself. We all love DnD, so why not focus on that?!
#1, if you are GenX mess with your players by playing this for the background of taverns, and wait till someone recognizes the song... https://youtu.be/d47Wr2Gcpko?feature=shared
#2, create a dungeon that is a 5 floor mansion that is really a behemoth mimic, breeding other mimics! Think "Monster House". Great one-shot Halloween adventure.
#3, I've run the 'Curse of Strahd' campaign that got put on hold for adulting andf has yet to ever conclude. (They'd totally TPK :P)

This shit doesn't matter. Gygax has an awesome grave in DDO. Humanity's creativity is giving up to chat GPT. WotC has hired a bunch of people who don't have the history with the game to make history matter. It'll be just another simpleton online game soon.
