I haven't met you, so I'm not sure. From what you said about being fortunate, that seems a lot more like the second one to me. No offense.

I understand being positive and grateful for what we have, and optimism is great most of the time, I'm just kind of a negative person. My motto for this year is "Expect the worst, prepare for the worst, don't hope for anything better, humans don't deserve it."

Be happy if you can. Don't let this year get you down, or me for that matter, but this thread is more designed for snarky quips and frustrating rants than for looking on the bright side.

Okay, first of all, there’s COVID-19, which caused a six month quarantine, longer for some people. Then there’s police brutality and multiple murders, but what does the government do? Nothing! Meanwhile, global warming gets worse and worse while hundreds of species go extinct every week and the arctic and Antarctic melt, and what happens? All the people in power pretend nothing's wrong while people get murdered under their noses and animals go extinct, just because they’d rather have money than safety.

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH HUMANS?!?! WHY MUST THEY BE SO SHORTSIGHTED AND CARELESS ABOUT LONG-TERM SAFETY?!?! WHY?! WHY?!?! WWHHHHYYYYYY?!?!?!

Yeah, it really sucks. You forgot the thing in November, too (breaks site rules to go more into it than this).

So I read this thread and have a couple things to say -

I still want to know what happened in 1978 but now know that it was when the first cell phone was invented and the Jim Jones 900 people suicide in the church event and I'm sorry whatever happened to you and wish I could help.    

Then I remembered that there are actual stats for Santa's CR but cant remember where I saw that so stuck in my head now :P.  - found it!! Santa and some other interesting stats for Christmas characters - 

And while reading the thread noticed that a great number of you joined the site in 2020 - Welcome!  

I hate that 2020 caused a lot of kids to miss out on events that many of us take for granted - Graduation events, proms, friends, etc, COVID, etc.  But love it because it's bringing to the forefront things that are truly important that we haven't been paying attention to for a long time.

Not karma, just pure negligence and incompetency. Bill Gates, scientists and many other people and groups warned us about all the crap that has happened this year, I just didn't think that it would all choose to happen this year. It's like the universe is playing Catastrophe Dogpile.
