I'm totally down for a boss fight... I've been too caught up with schoolwork to get back in the fighting pits here... But I swapped out my character... Trying something new!

I disagree with this. The mark of a truly successful DM is when you have killed them by showing them something obviously dangerous (such as a Delayed Blast Fireball sitting in a drawer) and letting them touch it.
XD... I literally did that! Gave my players a trapped drawer that they KNEW was trapped and gave them the key to disable the trap (they had seen the hag open it previously and knew how to disable it). And they still tried some fancy mess with mage hand, a familiar, and a flying PC. Lo and behold after the entire process, they forgot to disable the actual trap, and even with all of their precautions... they almost killed themselves.

Yup! With me, they had just escaped a necromancer and they were looking through the drawers when they came across the bead of fire floating in it and thought, "Hey, this looks interesting, let's prod it!" The fireball then blew up and killed all of them. I'd set this trap at a really high level because I thought that it was obvious and they wouldn't actually touch it, but they didn't even try to find out what it was first.
There is some homebrew for Epic levels in 5e (made by a friend of mine):

Could you link me to Third's Epic homebrew? I've found his stuff pretty cool (read: OP) so it'd be nice to use some more
Nevermind, found it. Pretty fascinating stuff, definitely epic, but it's incomplete

Chilling kinda vibe.

On my turn, I'll run up into melee, BA Vow of Emnity, and swing twice with my Rod of Lordly Might.
Attack: 30 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Attack: 28 Damage: 22
I'll apply Stunning Strike to each hit unless the first succeeds, make a DC 17 Con save or be Stunned.
I'll also use the Drain Life feature of the Rod, make a DC 17 Con save or take 15 necrotic and I'll be healed for half that.
And if the first stunning strike fails, I'll use the Paralyze feature of the Rod, make a DC 17 Str save or be Paralyzed.
