The Gnome: Calling out into the cavern he says "Hey! Wait for me!" and jumps into the lake to swim to the boat with a blue ribbon on it.
"Watch out, the water rusts all metal in it!" Krogar says loudly, pointing to his socks.
When you climb into the boat, you notice that there are two sets of oars in it.
All of you in the green boat are aware that someone or something is trying to influence your thoughts. You also see something moving around in the water--a dark shadow in the glowing lake.
What do the people in the red boat see is happening to the people in the green boat?
You notice that those in the green boat seem unsettled, but you did not hear the woman's voice, so you do not know what has happened--assuming you are still outside of the flat area.

Krogar, as soon as you call out, the woman calls to you "What! Rust? Please! Throw me a line, something, anything! Help me!"
Krogar, please make another wisdom saving throw. This time with a DC of 14

Krogar tosses a rope to the woman and begins pulling the line to the boat.
Thara looks over "Are you helping her?" She says this almost like she's not there in her mind.
"This is so weird! I don't see anyone and I don't hear anyone, but my mind says someone's there! STUPID MIND!" Krogar says, bonking himself on the helm. "We have to get out of this room, Morada willing."
"Krogar! Thara! Cease in your futile attempts to assist the illusory voice intruding on your wills!" George says this as though they are idiots for not realizing what's happening to them and as though he's not wording his speech in an excessive manner. He's mentally rolling his eyes at their lack of mental fortitude. He also does not realize that he is being rude in any way.
He will proceed to cast hold person at 3rd level to try to paralyze both of them before something happens to them. In short, save them from themselves.
Krogar and Thara, you need to make DC 15 Wisdom saving throws or be paralyzed until George releases the spell.

Kay snaps back at Angelino, "Just--Just do whatever you can and don't answer that voice!"
Kay witnesses Krogar throw a rope in the water, "Are you SERIOUS!!! I just said it's a SIREN!" She begins to lunge toward Thara, to grab her and pull her off of the edge and back into the boat (in order to do this she has to lunge between Angelino and Krogar), just as George says his speech and casts hold person. "Thank you! At least I'm not the only one who has some sense on this boat!."

"I'm trying! My brain wants to stop but my body won't obey! HELP US, GREAT MOTHER MORADA!" Krogar yells in panic.
George barely stops Thara from jumping into the water and Kay pulls her back into the boat, but as soon as Krogar throws in the rope, something grabs hold of it and starts pulling--yanking Krogar overboard.
Kay, Angelino, and George please make another wisdom saving throw, DC 13.
Krogar, as soon as you are below the water, you are met by a woman with flowing green hair and pale skin. She is garbed in what looks like seaweed, and has a scaly fish tail. She is holding the end of your rope, and pulling you close to her. She grins, grabs your shirt (your armor has rusted away) then dives straight down, dragging you with her. As soon as she does this, your mind returns to you and you realize that you will die if you do not escape.
Please make a Constitution saving throw: DC 15
If you succeed that, please make either a dex or strength check to escape her grasp: DC 12
Thara, you hear the woman's voice raise in your mind. She is singing to you, a strange song. She is angry that you have been apprehended.
Well.... Kay jumps in after Krogar. She was initially going to do this to save him but, now she just wants to be the one to save the woman. She want's all the credit for it.
Thoruk will start rooting around in his bag - I think it was in the early days of the first thread that Jerry gave him 3 bombs.
"Gonna do me some fishin'!"
As we were racing, I expect that the Red boat will have drifted into the flat spot at this point. Thoruk is no longer rowing.
Yes, all of you in the red boat are not in the flat water. You now hear the voice of the woman crying for help. Everyone in the red boat make a wisdom saving throw: DC 12

Actually, I just realized...lol. Thoruk, you must succeed a DC 13.
Harmony, did you cast that spell before or after you entered the flat zone? If after, you must also save a 13.
EDIT: it is still 12 for whoever else is in the red boat...

Anything metal you are carrying rusts away. You see Krogar struggling against the siren below you, his armor is completely gone.
