All I've learned from that post is that paladins and rangers should NOT have cantrips but for some reason do.

Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
People tagging different classes isnt something we heavily check - once we have home brew commenting/voting in place, a lot of these should get reviewed by the creator and fixed. (I hope)
I'll make what I said clearer. Paladins and rangers shouldn't have cantrips but in the homebrew spells section there are cantrips for paladins and rangers.

I just did a search for homebrew cantrips or 6th-level or higher spells on the paladin or ranger spell lists. 3 pages of results. https://www.dndbeyond.com/homebrew/spells?filter-class=4&filter-class=5&filter-search=&filter-level=0&filter-level=6&filter-level=7&filter-level=8&filter-level=9&filter-sub-class=&filter-concentration=&filter-ritual=&filter-author=&filter-author-previous=&filter-author-symbol=

Paladins and rangers are 1/2 casters. Their spell lists only go up to 5th-level spells. And they don't get cantrips.

Can't people homebrew up some cantrips for Paladins & Rangers? That's what homebrew is all about!
If you say so, but, last I checked, D&D Beyond wasn't planning to support homebrew rules or classes.
