10_30inDutch walked the streets of the North Pole with a notebook in hand. He was used to keeping track of kids for Santa's list but it seemed there was new need to know who was naughty and nice. Perching up on a nice shelf to get a view of the land he prepared to observe his fellow elves. But something was strange. At first he thought he'd grabbed a red pen by mistake. But as the ink continued to flow he realized he'd been shot. He turned around to see an elf with an evil smiling grinning at him with a candy-coated Tommy Gun. "End of the line." said the elf and fired.
The town awoke in the morning to find 10_30inDutch riddled with gumdrop bullets. And while the Elf on the Shelf was dead, they'd do their best to find out who belonged on which list.

I always thought announcing roles wasn’t done after they died
TheHarperMoon decided to only reveal alignment, not specific role, in the last one. But I'm generally in favor of giving role too. (Also helps if in later games I want to get a bit creative with custom roles so that people can actually have an idea of what was causing what.)
