This is just warlock 

 So they gave warlock a cleric feature, I have no idea what magical cunning does but it just seems like arcane recovery for warlock, Invocations were already good, subclass at level three is more of a personal issue for me because no more level one hexblade dip which is sad, Pact of the Chain is cool and all but they didn’t fix the other ones?, also INVOCATION FREE FEAT?? That’s unbalanced as hell, class spell lists work weirdly now so I’m not sure exactly how helpful that’ll be

 Oh, the 3rd lv sub thing has always annoyed me with pally. Adding warlock and likely cleric and sorc to that list is gonna annoy me

 Yea it also makes no sense, like wdym the class where I gain power from my oath I have to pick at third level. Where does my power come from then. Same with warlock and cleric

 The way a friend of mine explained warlock is that level 3 is that real burst of power. Sure you already made the deal but they weren’t giving you much. Level 3 is when the really start flowing in the power 

 So lv 1 and 2 are even more of an annoying slog?

 But before then you still don’t have your subclass. So no pact. Unless you preemptively choose your subclass, which is weird. That’s like saying “well I’m gonna make a pact with a fiend but not yet” which also renders levels 1 and 2 more redundant than they already are. No one likes playing at level 1 and 2 because you can’t do anything and die to RNG.

 I'm just leaving D&D kinda, at least my main group is switching systems and I want to try some others

 If you hate playing at level one and two, just don’t join those campaigns. Plus those are supposed to represent the beginning phase of your journey. If you had just started out as an adventurer, would you be experienced and battle hardened? No

 You could think of D&D like star wars, Its a bit rough sometimes but still good until it started making mistakes on the newer stuff

 “Hate playing” and “completely obsolete” are two different things. You’re meant to be an adventurer, not a commoner. What’s the point of it if it’s just filler levels until you get to level 3? Every level is supposed to be fun. That’s why it’s a game

 This. It can work a little with cleric since a god has multiple domains, and with sorc if you dont knos the source of your power. But like warlock and pally..? You should know your power source from the get go. Maybe lv 2 for pally since thats when you get spells and smite?

 Speak for yourself. I personally don’t mind 1 or 2 and the risk of death is kinda high exciting to me. Sure I prefer level 3, but I love it all the same. To each their own
