I need some help with designing a homebrew weapon. They're essentially Death's sickles from Puss in Boots: the Last Wish, but I'm having trouble hammering out the specifics, like what special abilities should I give them, and how would I mimic the weapon shifting property?

I'd say that it would take a bonus action to change the weapons, but I'm not sure how they'd really function, especially the double-bladed staff thing.

Hmm. That could actually work. And the thing to where he flicks the blades inwards so that his knuckles rest just behind the inside of the blade could just function similar to unarmed strikes that deal slashing damage instead of bludgeoning.
