Architect: Designs a camp for sunFIRE elves. Also Architect: Doesn't think that sunFIRE elves might ever need, you know, FIRE.
Even aside from them being sunFIRE elves, did the architect never think they might need to cook? Or keep warm in winter? Or warm up water for washing/bathing? Or, you know, anything?
Not to mention the elf burning a pyre for his mother was following every fire safety protocol. Had the fire away from tents. Was watching the fire to make sure it was controlled. I don't remember, but I think he may have also had a water bucket nearby just in case. Smoky Bear would approve of that elf.
But NOOOOO. The architect had to be a neurotic worrywart that couldn't compromise at all. Honestly she was overpaid and should've been fired if she thought her whole design would come apart because someone living in a camp used fire at some point.
Hey guys! Back with another basis for a homebrew subclass. This time, Sorcerer! And I’ll need some feedback!
Sorcerer: Magiblade
A bit of a misnomer, Magiblade’s do not need a sword to function, but any weapon. Magiblades are made when a Sorcerer lacks control over their innate magic and struggle to use it effectively. Some Sorcerers embrace this lack of control, and let the magic do as it pleases, but Magiblades instead learn to focus on flowing their magic through weapons, called Conduits, increasing their capabilities in combat. When choosing this Sorcerous Origin, you gain proficiency in martial weapons and medium armor.
1st level features: Conduit weapon. To create a Conduit, you first must bond to it, bonding to a weapon takes 6 hours. You may unbind Conduit at any time. You may have an amount of bound weapons equal to your proficiency bonus. While wielding a Conduit, you gain the following benefits: You add your charisma modifier to your AC. You may attack with your Conduit weapon using your charisma stat. You may use your Conduit as an arcane focus. Channel Sorcery. You can use your Conduit to preform powerful acts. To activate a Channel, you must spend at least one Sorcery point. You can maintain this Channel for a number of minutes equal to the amount of Sorcery points you spent. (You have access to all Channels immediately, all at a relatively similar level of power. Subject to change. Will list Channels later)
6th level features: Blade of the Soul. Constantly flowing magic into your Conduit has given it its own reserve of power, as well as giving it sentience. Your Conduit’s personality is up to you and your DM. Your Conduit gains a flying speed equal to your walking speed, shares your statistics and AC, and can benefit from all subclass features you have. You can cast spells and attack from your Conduit’s position. Your Conduit cannot be, poisoned, is immune to poison damage and cannot be unconscious, incapacitated or stunned. You can summon your Conduit from anywhere as long as you are both on the same plane, as well as having a telepathic connection to your Conduit. Finally, your Conduit gains a throwing range, with a normal range of 60 feet and a long range of 120 feet. Extra Attack. Whenever you take the attack action on your turn, you may attack twice. Your Conduit gains this benefit as well
14th level feature: Sorcerous Impact. Your Conduit does an extra 1d6 force damage and counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances and immunities. You can increase the bonus damage by 1d6 for every spell slot above the 1st level you expend
18th level feature: Invoke greater Armament. By spending 10 Sorcery points, you can unleash your full power and gain the following effects: You gain a +2 to your AC. If you attack with your Conduit, you may make another attack (for a total of three attacks) and you add 10ft to your attack range
AMAZING.
(I'm bouta make a talking longsword that disco dances, flashes bright colors, and is into other weapons. Can you guess who it is?)
That was the plan, hombre. And it’s Jack. You want to make Jack
YES. YES I DO.
Some day 2 changes as always
Remembered that sorcerers don’t get sorcery points until level 2, so all abilities that require sorcery points can be used with spell slots of the level (see flexible casting) and vice versa
Aaravos is the best, the funniest scene in the show is the, “our child,” scene because it’s crazy out of context. And also Rayla is awesome!
It's getting a new season and I love it. Every time Cal used magic the surprise is fab.
I've been thinking about watching it for a while is it good
Yup. And it's gettin' a new season in 10 days!
('Our child' was frickin' ridiculous. You could see the confusion on his face so cleary. Also the sheer amount of Avatar the Last Airbender references makes me so happy.)
Bet
I watched it a while ago.. but I never noticed any references to Avatar. Seems like a lot of shows take inspiration from it tho, She Ra (newest version) has a scene where its like "The line of she ra's has been broken and blah blah blah" and theres hologramsof all the she ras and it has huge Avatar vibes

Hmm... maybe the wielder has the choice of healing themselves equal to the amount of lightning damage absorbed OR have the weapon deal a certain amount of extra lightning damage? So like if they get hit with 10 points of lightning damage, they could choose to have the weapon deal an extra 1d10 of lightning damage?

And now time for for more information on channels for the Magiblade
Each channel has 2 abilities. It’s constant and it release. The constant remains in effect as long as you are wielding the channeled weapon. The release happens once the effect ends. Once the time limit has been reached, you can use your reaction to trigger the release, the release scales with the level of spell slot/amount of sorcery points spent to activate it.
Channel of Lightning: By channeling the power of lightning, you gain 10 feet of extra movement including a flying or swimming speed if applicable. By releasing the Channel you unleash a burst of lightning that targets anyone within a 10 foot radius. Make a ranged spell attack against anyone within that radius, taking 2d6 lightning damage on a hit. Any one within 10 feet of someone who was hit by the lightning takes 1d6 lightning damage. This can only affect someone who has not already been struck by the lightning. This damage increases by 1d6 for every spell slot (or corresponding amount of sorcery points) above the first used to active the Channel
Channel of the Sea: By channeling the power of the ocean, you gain a sphere of water that gives you temporary hp equal to double your sorcerer level. By releasing the Channel anyone in a 10 foot radius must make a Strength saving throw or become restrained by a smaller sphere of water, taking cold damage equal to the amount of sorcery points (or corresponding level of spell slot) you spent to activate the Channel every turn they start restrained. They may remake the saving throw at the end of each of their turns
Channel of Earth: By channeling the power to the earth, you can use your reaction to reduce one incoming source of damage by double your Sorcerer level. By releasing the Channel, anyone within a 30 foot radius must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 bludgeoning damage and fall prone on a fail, or take the damage and suffer no other effects on a success. This damage increases by 1d6 for every level of spell slot (Or corresponding amount or sorcery points) you spent to activate the Channel
