Then my job is being a Pita on many fronts, so that is stressful. Mostly dealing with things out of my control but somehow being responsible for it all anyways which sucks.
Then I’m going through one of my anxiety/depression funks I tend to go through a couple of times throughout the second half of the year. Thinking about all the holidays coming up gets me in a mood even though I have nothing but good holiday memories so there is no reason to really feel like this but then I seem hyper attuned to the rest of the world’s holiday stress so I end up feeling like crap regardless.

Hey, everyone! I decided to completely rework my fursona. I would say they were a new character, but they have a couple of significant similarities and the same name so I'm gonna say it's a revamp.
So now he's an alchemist who suffers from "Thalaburn disorder," which makes it so that he cannot use the usual magic system. Instead of actually casting a spell, he just burns himself pretty significantly. But he loved magic and became a magician, like the type that shows up at birthday parties and carnival sideshows.
He was originally a strugel, but his experiments in alchemy turned him into a monster the size of a giant (large creature, as opposed to the Huge giants of DnD). His body constantly mixes Thaumaturgical reagents, allowing him to create potions that have different effects on him. So for example, he can make a potion that poisons others but heals him (for emergencies). His body also burns calories to fuel these reactions in his body, and significant damage to him may have unpredictable potion effects such as explosions or splashes of healing/poisoning blood.
I'm trying to come up with a more consistent power set that can be explained by alchemy/thaumaturgy (the same thing in this setting).

Look man, some times people try to become friends by making little jokes. Instead of being hostile, you could just try to get to know them before just being straight up "get away from me" you know what I mean.
As far as the way you think, the world didn't make you the way you are, you chose that. And it's not bad to be straight up, I totally get it and sometimes I wish I could just be straight up with people as far as what I want. But the fact is, other people live in the world, other people have feelings and thoughts, and they won't match yours all the time. If you care about your feelings, you should care about others just as much because they are just like you bro.
Anyway, I know what it is like to want to be straight up, and getting tired of insincere people, I find it hard to see people who are as sincere about life as me. But with that sincerity comes a responsibility for your words, so maybe just try a little more patience next time. It can get tiring, but it is worth not being the one is the jerk. Let the other people be at fault for their bs and keep yourself out of it, it will show other people.
If you want to be friends with me, don’t make a joke at my expense. If you do, it’s going to annoy me and I’m going to tell you to shut up, if you double down, I’ll do it again, and will never really like you. Simple as that. If he realized his mistake and apologized, I would have been fine with it, and probably apologized as well. That’s my explanation for the way I act, and it won’t change any time soon.
Look that’s my bad, I didn’t mean to offend you or anything, sorry I didn’t respond earlier, I’m barely on. By the way, a little advice, you can react that way if someone makes a joke that is insulting and inappropriate but people have feelings so usually if you want to be socially well adjusted, you can say something like “hey, that kind of hurt my feelings, could you not do that?” It will get you far in life. If someone keeps making you feel bad, you can say something of the nature that you said. Sorry :/

Also, this character needs a motivation to go out and do cool things instead of living in the bottom layer of New Babylon. Right now I have it as him wanting to go to a prestigious magic school, but right now he has no reason to want to go there other than he just finds magic cool.

Look that’s my bad, I didn’t mean to offend you or anything, sorry I didn’t respond earlier, I’m barely on. By the way, a little advice, you can react that way if someone makes a joke that is insulting and inappropriate but people have feelings so usually if you want to be socially well adjusted, you can say something like “hey, that kind of hurt my feelings, could you not do that?” It will get you far in life. If someone keeps making you feel bad, you can say something of the nature that you said. Sorry :/
