Since people are sharing magic system, here’s mine.
Rule 1: Unlike most magic system, Mājī (pronounced M-ay-gee) is not fully understood, as it properties vary so much by creature. Only these basics are known.
Rule 2: Many creatures have the ability to use Mājī, due to an organ connected to the lungs, stomach, and heart that extract what is known as Mājī molecules from the inhaled air and digested food, which it then injects into the blood stream through the heart.
Rule 3: Some creatures who lack this organ can technically use Mājī, but it requires one of two objects. Either a piece of a Nooling tree, which aren’t rare but are known to create Mājī dead spots (later), or compressed Mājī, a rare crystal typically found near fossils. Compressed Mājī is much more sought after as, unlike Nooling wood, it is a self contained renewable source.
Rule 4: Some areas lack Mājī molecules, typically caused by something absorbing them, which causes some notable differences. These areas are called Mājī dead zones. The first recorded abnormality is the use of Mājī has an incredibly shortened duration and range. The second is creatures that live in these environments tend to have higher levels of intelligence. A universally accepted theory for this is that Mājī molecules act as depressants, albeit a weak one, slowing the brains processing and decision making skills.

Some Psychomājīst believe how a caster uses Mājī reflects their personalities, but Biomājīst believe a casters diet is a primary factor. Hard to come to a conclusion when Mājī is so varied.

For a bit this morning, Arch’s and I had posts that were dated for December 18, 2024. So when anyone would post after those, instead of their posts being the last in the thread, our posts kept getting pushed to the end because of the dates. It was weird.
I haven’t been able to post with my original account all day, it’s been so frustrating!
