I've actually never played the game.
But I saw the show on Netflix and enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for shows with a young ever-optimistic protagonist when you add a fantasy-type element on top. And also heartbreaking when you see their spirits crushed. Definitely an emotional moment in the OVA when Adamai told Yugo he had to choose between him or the dofus.
Its too bad he was a bad person. Smooth Criminal and Thriller are good
