 I feel if the phone was created by the shapeshifter, like two things need to be met before the phone is even functional. 1, they have to be able to create pure metal and variations of it, and 2, they have to have a deep enough understanding of technology to replicate such devices. Even then, I feel automatically being logged into an account requires a more supernatural factor. This all is from a realistic standpoint though. But that does raise the question of if the shapeshifter and phone are separated, are there now two of them?

 1. I think would work so long as it doesn't go off the interpretation that shapeshifters use whatever equipment they currently have on, like changelings. 2.  I assume they do for the hypothetical.

I think the phone itself would last as long as the shapeshifter keeps that form, which raises other interesting hypotheticals

 Exactly. Like would losing contact with the phone feel like losing a finger? Does the folding of their clothing cause them constant agony?
