I want to get a group together
My DM is moving to Portugal so that games been on pause. I haven’t played in several months
problem is I think I’d be a pretty bad DM, especially because of the frame of referance. Our previous DM was like a 40 year old nerd veteran who worked in film for a bit, had a gaming setup in his basement, good explanations and acting. He knew all the tricks, plus was just a really great guy

With DMing don't sell yourself short by comparing yourself to others.
Biggest thing IMO is to have at least something. Can also use premade stuff to help out. And be honest with your players if you're like, "I don't know X." And as you get more experience you can fit in better to the role.
