It's hard to be a DM. I have good story ideas but I don't have the will to right it down
Ha, DMing isn't "hard"
Imagine that you have to make a world, with real people that have to have real motivations, and there have to be thousands of these people in an environment at any given time, and you have to understand you have to be able to make up a whole personality and goals and race and gender and identity in just a few seconds, or your players will realize that you don't know how to DM and will quit. You also need to have a good story, have it not be cliche, but not be terrible, and it also has to follow a standard for story building without completely ripping off someone else. You also need to prepare at least a tiny bit for each and every game in the campaign, and have a game plan, and have good roleplaying encounters and situations, and arguably harder, balanced combat encounters against your party's very specific capabilities for their current level and class combinations, and make sure the combat doesn't immediately stop from either a TPK or the players instantly annihilating the enemies, while also making it difficult enough to be fun, which means it either needs a huge AC or hit points, and does little damage every round, or does a lot of resisted damage, like a fire elemental against 4 level 3 tieflings.
You also have to have the mind of a million others, and make sure you know what's going on at all times or you will be sooooooo screwed! You must think tactically without metagaming, smart without cheating smart. You also have to save the characters from your own mistakes, and figure out when a good time would be to kill a character, and when a really really bad time is to kill a character. You also need to realize all of the character's backstories and personal goals and find ways to work all of them into your already complex game, and also have to juggle 100 important NPC's in your mind at any time as long as the characters have the Sending spell, and you also need voices for each individual.
This is my rant of how EASY DM'ing is! Thanks Wizards, I have DM PTSD!
And I love it.

Are you a DM or a PC
Hi everyone! I'm working up the will to finalize my signature, so... I guess this will be the signature for now
For me, I'm usually a pc, but sometimes like to mix it up, and become a DM.
I know nothing
*** Looking for a D&D group or people willing to create one ***
I've DM'd once, and I already have renewed respect for my DM who also plays a character.
