Musteloids are a race of awakened Mustelids from Neth that have started migrating into Materia and the Feywild. It is theorized that they were originally normal mustelids that somehow made their way into Neth, where they were mutated into what they are now. Mustelids tend to have a strong constitution and a natural charisma. They are also often naturals at the use of magic, which they call Mojo.

Musteloid Names

Musteloids tend to have many names, liking to prattle off their own names in quick succession. Musteloids from the feywild have learned the danger of this though and tend to be the opposite, having just one short name.

Musteloids are between 2 and 4 feet tall and average about 40 pounds. Your size is Small.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 25 feet.

Smell secretion

You can emit a strong smell, allowing others to find you even in darkness or fog if they are within 30ft of you.

Strong Constitution

You have advantage on all Constitution saving throws.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.

Lutrador Musteloid

Lutrador Musteloids are very otter-like in appearance and behavior. They often live in tight-knit communities alongside rivers and lakes. They are welcoming to outsiders and are happy to chirp away with stories and gossip.

Swim Speed

Living alongside rivers and lakes gives you a swim speed of 40ft.

Lung Capacity

Spending long times underwater has trained your lungs. You can spend up to 2 hours without breathing.

Tool Creation

You are naturally gifted in making simple tools. During a short rest, you can use the materials around you to make a simple piece of equipment (e.g. a shovel, a crowbar or a torch) or a simple weapon.

Ratelian Musteloid

Ratelian Musteloids are solitary humanoids that often seek to prove themselves in combat. They are relentless warriors who are known to challenge opponents much larger than them. They have thick skin and a natural resistance to poison which make them very though to land a finishing blow on.

Thick Skin

Your thick skin makes it hard for opponents to land a true killing blow, giving you advantage on death saving throws.

Poison Resistance

You have resistance against poison damage and are immune to the poisoned condition.

Weaselfolk Musteloid

The Weaselfolk are a relatively small species of Musteloids. They are often seen as thieves and sneaks. But in reality they are just naturally opportunistic. Weaselfolk often bond with other humanoids and closely work together with them. A good friend can make a weaselfolk a force of good, a bad friend might just as easily influence them into evil.

Thanks to your cunning and affinity with coded messages, you have advantage on any investigation check to decipher a code. In addition you can speak, read or write thieves cant.

Nimble Stature
