Maybe they can create some sort of, “Beacon of emotion,” that gives advantage to certain ability checks, and disadvantage on others.
(Example)
Beacon of confidence: all creatures within 30 feet of the beacon while it is active have advantage on strength checks, as well as disadvantage on wisdom checks.
